Deborah Turner-Bey has been a student and teacher of metaphysics since 1988. She is graduate of Rockhurst University with a degree in physics and mathematics. Winner of the 2004 Rossner Medal in philosophy, Deborah has spent more than ten years using her science education to inform her approach to teaching metaphysical subject matter. Her writing style synthesizes such diverse fields as physics, philosophy, mysticism, psychology, economics and Black Nationalism. One of the original co-founders of the Kansas City, Missouri chapter of the National Black Independent Political Party (NBIPP), and charter member of the Kansas City National Black United Front (NBUF), she is a lifelong political activist and proponent of Black self-sufficiency.
