Ian Kappos was born on the 26th anniversary of JFK’s assassination. To date, nearly forty of his works of short fiction, nonfiction, and poetry have been published online and in print. In 2012, his short story “In the Leper Colony” (originally published in Neon #32) was an honorable mention in Ellen Datlow’s Best Horror of the Year Volume 5. In 2017, his poem “Metropolis’s Missing Reel” (originally published in Typehouse Literary Magazine #12) was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. His debut chapbook collection of fiction, Crossfaded in Narnia (Eibonvale Press), was released in 2018. In addition to writing, he plays in the hardcore punk band Cross Class, co-edits Milkfist, and is an editorial assistant at Sublevel. A Northern California native ...more
