When Fiction Feels Too Close to Reality
Every so often, you write a story that starts as pure imagination — only to watch the real world catch up. That’s what happened with my new release, Terminal Hitman: State of Deception.
While the novel is fiction (with a twisted sense of humor), it dives into themes that are all around us:
Big Pharma silencing its critics
Politicians cutting backroom deals while smiling for the cameras
FBI raids and cover-ups that make you wonder who the “good guys” really are
And a transhumanist villain convinced the next stage of humanity should look a lot more like lizards than people
It’s dark, it’s satirical, and at times it’s disturbingly close to the headlines. But at the heart of it, the story is about ordinary people realizing justice is optional — and deciding vengeance is not.
We released State of Deception on August 19, 2025, and it’s already found its way to the #1 spot in Amazon’s Hot New Releases for Medical Thrillers (and cracked the Top 10 in Conspiracy Thrillers). That early response tells me readers are connecting with the mix of action, conspiracy, and gallows humor that shaped this book.
If you’ve ever read a headline and thought, “This sounds like a thriller plot” — this book might be up your alley.

And I’d love to hear from you: do you enjoy thrillers that mirror real-world conspiracies, or do you prefer your fiction as pure escape? Drop a comment — I’ll be around to chat.
