I stay with one idea because I don't get a lot of ideas. I don't think it's a bad habit. Everyone writes differently, and writing is hard. I suggest you congratulate yourself on finding a way that's comfortable fore you.

I adore Ella Enchanted :D. I also enjoyed The Two Princesses of Bamarre and Fairest. Writing Magic was one of the first books on writing I read, and it has helped me a lot, and really encouraged me to write. Thank you! ;)
I finished reading your book Ella Enchanted a few days ago and I must say, it was wonderful.Also, your book Writing Magic: Creating Stories That Fly is very helpful and inspiring.
