My training as a commercial illustration introduced me to tv storyboard work, and I love cinematic camera angles to tell a story. Once I begin sketching something, my mind begins to fill in the words or ideas of the action, and away I go!
Some days I have a block and I do something entirely different and get away from it all. I always come back with a fresh perspective!(less)

I was almost stunned during my first television interview when a reporter introduced me as an Author! I've never had that title before!
But to tell you what I think is best about writing ... the universe is out there just waiting for you to interpret it as YOU see fit, and you have the power to tell the story however you choose. Awesome!(less)

3652 Days is Hard to Believe!

Ten years is a long time … whether you’re creating a set of children’s books, raising a child, or even making a movie … that 3652 days represents a stretch of time we can all respect!

It’s been ten years since my first speaking engagement at Central College Magnet School in central Ohio! One day a good friend asked if I had ever talked about my book

David Cuccia Who Ate the Gelato?! Hold onto the edge of your seat as you enter into the magical and captivating wonderland of Who Ate the Gelato? An epic adventure sure to entertain and please young and old alike. You’ll meet best friends, Jasmine, Topo and Roxanne, and along the way, fall in love with many other real-to-life characters. David Cuccia memorializes these rescue animals with his talent for illustration and eloquent but sometimes hilarious storytelling skills. You’ll travel from the Palazzo Comitini in Sicily to breathtaking destinations in between and finally to an ancient temple in Tibet where in the most surprising fashion, these three friends find the solution they seek. If you love animals, making new friends, the warm fuzzies, unpredictable plot twists and happily-ever-afters, you’ll love Who Ate the Gelato?!

David Cuccia Who Ate the Gelato?! by David Cuccia Who Ate the Gelato?! Cuccia's outstanding illustrative talent makes me feel like I am turning the pages of a graphic novel. It is a visual delight! His heart of gold shines brightly through his lovable cast of characters drawn from real-life. Davide seamlessly weaves his humanitarian spirit and passion for Europe, into an exciting educational experience, that engages the mind and imagination. An animal lover's paradise, this book speaks to the positive power of rescue animals. Furry companions, Princess Jasmine the dog and Topo the mouse, leaped into my heart and lead the way for a wonder-filled, life-altering journey forged in friendship. This is a story that adults and children alike, can enjoy together. Kissed with the perfect amount of whimsy, I put this gem on my Top Ten read-out-loud books!
