Hitting a milestone
So, this Friday sees the launch of the TENTH Sam Pope book, Out Of Reach.
When I started writing the Sam Pope series, I had decided to double my efforts to become a full-time independent author and now, four years later, I cannot believe that I do this for a living.
Sam has become like a member of the family in our house, much to my wife's chagrin. But, it is allowing me to fulfil a dream and hopefully, with the series growing, it will allow me to write other things. (I will be returning to Bermuda Jones after a five year absence!)
But this Friday, I hit the tenth book in the series. It feels mad to me, but I truly feel that the character has grown and evolved so much over the ten books. The tapestry of characters and storylines has created a character ripe with opportunity, and the eleventh book is already underway and if....IF...I pull it off how I want to, it could be the best thing I've written.
But yeah, a big week and a big milestone. Let's hope it goes well.
