Here’s my complete book “Arcane Rhapsodies” (Please read if you like mythology/mystery/thriller/fantasy)-Published in 2015

Dear all,

With the times being what they are, Ive finally been reawakened and have created my books pdf for everyone to download and read. Time and tide wait for none, its high time.

My only goal with this book was to write something I would enjoy reading, wrote it primarily for myself. Ive grown up on rhyming poetry and stories and I think I just wanted to share that same experience with others like me.

Looking back, I may not feel particularly great about my poetry here (Ive definitely...

Lost & Found

There I was,

Wrapped around you.

There I was,

And here I am still

– Lost & found.

An ode to a stranger

My fingers find their way

Grazing the white and gray

Unbelievably supple

Incredibly subtle

Her stillness, her poetry

Just for me.
About the post: Trying to get back to blogging and poetry. What better day than World Poetry Day? This click is from my personal collection, taken at Dalai Lama Temple, where I happened to meet this beautiful, loving soul who sat with me for hours, asking nothing at all but my company on the floor cushion next to her.

On a Stroll

A glint of green

Beckoning onlookers.

A dragonfly doomed.

Cars zipping past

The lifeless creature,

He scoops it up

And voila! It flies!

About the post: While taking a leisurely stroll down the road in McLeodganj, we found this dragonfly still, seemingly dead, on the road as cars and buses were whooshing past. Turns out, the rescue operation was not needed after all

Is it yours?

Who’s to say

You are mine

Or I am yours?

Who’s to say

I deserve you

Or you deserve me?

Who’s to say

I love you more

Than you love me?

About the post:

I met this beautiful, gentle, ageing creature at the Dalai Lama Temple Complex and I don’t think I’ll ever forget her. She is a gem of a memory that I’ll always cherish, a chance encounter or fate that she chose me and my husband for companions on a rainy, slightly chilly afternoon.

She wanted nothing but to take her spot between us, like she...

Afterlife

They gathered around their dead,

The wild blooms,

The green shoots,

The fungi

And the weeds.

Locking the hollow wood

Into an everlasting caress.

-A delightful afterlife .

About the post: This photo is from my personal collection, I clicked this one in Kolkata while walking around Rabindra Sarobar. I could not help but marvel at the beauty of the white rot fungi against the dark tree stumps that line the periphery of the lake. There’s beauty in the smallest of things that nature has to offer.

Tickling Tara – A bed time story

Hi everyone,

I haven’t written in a while but here’s a story/poem that I wrote using the Storyweaver platform, a great #storytelling tool from #PrathamBooks . Do consider this interesting platform to read, share, create stories that can engage children of all ages. I found some unique stories on Storyweavers and do give it a try if you are a writer, parent, teacher, illustrator or even otherwise.

Here’s my story, go on, read it..It’s a short tale/poem meant to be a bedtime story. Click on the...

Faith

Faith

-Forever more, work in progress.

The mortar of mortals

Maketh a sanctum.

About the post:

The photo is from my personal collection. I clicked this one at Nareli Jain Temple (Ajmer), these temples are still under construction. Against the backdrop of clear blue skies on a sunny afternoon, this work in progress offered me perspective and not to mention, some inspiration for my writings. Sometimes I wonder if God created man/woman or is it the other way around?
