O entitate care nu se acoperă bine cu un substantiv de-al nostru, al limbilor indo-europene, Orenda, mana, etc pot fi un adjectiv sau un verb și subzistă în toate formele realității, Orenda se poate simți într-o piatră sau un copac, dar cutare are mana să vâneze. Există, din nou fără să se acopere, și unele asemănări între această prezență sacră și Duhul Sfânt. Mai pe urmă aș spune că m-au fascinat dintotdeauna fragmentele de culturi dispărute, fragmentele de credințe și m-a tentat să construiesc o lume suficient de departe de a noastră încât numai astfel de cioburi risipite: nume proprii, obiceiuri de înmormântare dezarticulate, religii care nu-și mai cunosc propria mitologie, să fi supraviețuit.
