O Κώστας Παύλου γεννήθηκε τον Φεβρουάριο του 1980 στα Ιωάννινα. Σπούδασε οικονομικά στο Αμερικάνικο Κολλέγιο Ελλάδος, απ’ όπου αποφοίτησε το 2002 και εργάζεται ως τραπεζικός υπάλληλος. Ζει στα Ιωάννινα, είναι παντρεμένος και πατέρας δυο παιδιών.
Το πρώτο του μυθιστόρημα οι Εξισορροπιστές εκδόθηκε το 2014. Ακολούθησε ο Κοσμηματοπώλης το 2016 και ο Δόγης το 2019. Η στροφή είναι το τέταρτο αστυνομικό του μυθιστόρημα σε συνεργασία με την Χάρτινη Πόλη και έχει ήδη εκδοθεί στα αγγλικά, φέροντας τον τίτλο The Flying Dutch.
