Kathryn M. Hearst is a southern girl with a love of the dark and strange. Kate lives in North Carolina with her chocolate lab, Jolene; and two rescue pups, Jagger and Roxanne. She is a self-proclaimed nerd, raising a nerdling.

YES! I have finished a prequel, that will become the new book 1 in the series. Feast of Reverence features Nicholai, Serena and a 5-year-old Nick. It's my personal favorite. I'm planning to release it early 2018. In addition, I've reworked bits of Epiphany and Mercy. The new editions will be out at the same time. Feast of Atonement will be out in the Spring of 2018, and the final book will release in the fall.

I wanted to write of a time when babies had sweet …moreI wrote this story to immortalize my great grandmother, one of the strongest women I've ever known. I wanted to write of a time when babies had sweet tea in their sippy cups, the roads were dirt, orange groves still covered central Florida, and colorful bottles hung from oak trees to trap spirits.(less)
