Juelle was born in Castries, Saint Lucia in 1987, and grew up, the last of her siblings, in a close-knit family, in the community of Entrepot. A long-time lover of the arts, Juelle has always been captivated by the stories she read as a child, and in many instances wrote her own. She credits her love for reading and writing to her father, who as a child, never had the opportunity to finish his schooling.

After many failed attempts at trying to succeed at other professions, that did not fulfil her desire to learn, explore and create, Juelle resigned from her full-time job and began writing, professionally.
