I have also published a creative non-fiction article in Bottom Dog Press' Unbroken Circle: Stories of Cultural Diversity in th ...more

Like Kate & Curan from Andrew's Magic series, or Eddie & Susannah from King's Dark Tower series. In Lesfic, it is harder to find these kind of couples That's why I tried to build examples of such relationships in my books.(less)

It's more than rocket science...

A few times each week, I get cool notices from Open Education Resource networks in Academia that someone very far away, from a completely different culture, has read a small piece of my social science labor...and has hopefully found it useful. As a scientist long interested in how teams can live and work together in extreme environments (like space) to do really complicated cooperative things (li

“Truth has two faces, two kinds, and only the imagining one is afraid of what it might be missing. Truth is discovered, not caught. Love is released, not earned.”
Lacey Schmidt, Catch to Release

“Never say never, because it's never really true.”
Lacey Schmidt, A Walk Away

“I couldn't really discern any of the screaming lyrics, but I think the bouncy rhythm and their instrumental enthusiasm leave little doubt about the culinary joys of their favorite taco truck.”
Lacey Schmidt, A Walk Away

“When you have nothing to offer said party, said party will take you for every penny and sell you a lemon if you stand there and try to close the deal. My advice is that it is not worth the hassle it usually costs you. This is what we call a walk-away deal...because you have to be willing to walk away from it.”
Lacey Schmidt, A Walk Away

“I could have a fatal aneurysm during out next orgasm.”

“Men are comfortable and easy. Like flannel shirts, you always know what wearing one will feel like before you even try it on, and it's not fashionable, but there are times when you just want to wear one anyway.”
Lacey Schmidt, A Walk Away

“Never say never, because it's never really true.”
