Peter Colt is currently a police officer in a small New England city where he has worked since 2007. He spent over twenty years in the Army reserve and was deployed to Kosovo in 2000, where he was attached to the Russian Army. He was deployed to Iraq in 2003 and again in 2008. He was fortunate to get to know many Vietnam vets and U.S. Army Special forces soldiers. He lived on Nantucket Island from 1973‑1986. He’s currently working on the next Andy Roark mystery.

It has been a weird trip here. It took me a decade to write my first novel. I started in sitting in a Containerized Housing Unit (CHU) while in Kirkuk Iraq. Now eleven years later it will be on bookstore shelves and available online. I couldn't be more thrilled.

An outstanding and comprehensive, if a bit long, look at the preparation for the battle of Diem Bien Phu. A comprehensive, scholarly work that provided me fresh insight to this pivotal battle.

Back Bay Blues is out and The Off-Islander is out in paperback. I am very excited and very, very lucky. I also owe a huge debt of thanks to a lot of people who worked very hard to make this a reality, friends, family, the good people at Kensington and my agent. Thank you all!
