Holiday Gift Guide for the Booklover in Your Life

At long last, I've finished a project started as a quick tri-fold brochure and evolved into something much more time-consuming: my first Holiday Gift Guide, featuring fun gift ideas to pair with my three novels (as well as a few favorites by other authors), recipes from Bend in the Road and Cold Day in the Sun, book recommendations, favorite small businesses, and general gift ideas for the booklover in your life.

Holiday Gift Guide

I hope you enjoy this small piece of joy during this holiday sea...

One Word for the New Year | 2020 Edition

Hello, 2020.

Let's get right to it. I've got a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it.

My One Word for the New Year is TOGETHER. As usual, the word has layers of meaning for me. When I thought about the last half of 2019, I knew something had to change. Drastically. I knew that I needed to get my shit together.

The phrase "Get your shit together" is obviously more than one word, so I dropped it to TOGETHER. I'm determined to get it together in 2020 in a few different areas of my life:

Every New Beginning Comes From Some Other Beginning's End

Guanella Pass Scenic Byway, Colorado
2019 has come and gone in the blink of an eye, both an amazing year and a challenging one.

One Word for the New Year

Welcome, 2019. I'm glad to see you.
For several weeks, I thought I had my new word for the new year all figured out. Life had gotten so busy and hectic, I was feeling overwhelmed and out of sorts. This year, I've worked hard at mindfulness and have been thinking a lot about the idea of the pause. So I thought that PAUSE would be my word for 2019, even though it was similar to my 2018 word, STILL
At the beginning of December, I crammed in all those medical appointments that I'd put off al...
