Pankaj Giri was born and brought up in Gangtok, Sikkim—a picturesque hill station in India. He began his writing career with a book review blog, and after several years of honing his writing skills, he wrote his debut solo novel The Fragile Thread of Hope.

The e-book version of the inspirational fiction novel was selected as a “Top 5 Finalist” in the Amazon Pen to Publish Contest 2017 and received critical acclaim worldwide.

The paperback version—published in late 2019 by Fingerprint! Publishing—also got an excellent reception, a 5-star rating from the renowned literary blog New Asian Writing being the highlight. It was a commercial success, too, selling more than 4500 copies. In July 2020, Pankaj won Best Author (Fiction) at the Indian Liter

Probably our ancestors were from Nepali or perhaps they lived in Sikkim itself. Nepali speaking people are there all over the subcontinent, perhaps having migrated from Nepal at some point in the past. Our mother-tongue is Nepali, which is derived from Devnagri script, and we have our own set of cultures and traditions, a few of which I have tried to highlight in my book, The Fragile Thread of Hope. :)(less)

I'll give it a thought, but right now I'm so busy editing my second book that I won't have time to concentrate on it fully, so I wouldn't be able to do justice to it. But yes, maybe after a few months when I'll be a bit free, that would be a good idea. There are no such pages, and once it becomes a bit popular, maybe we can catch hold of someone to sponsor it, too (for Facebook ads). But still I think by sharing and inviting friends and fans, it should be able to gather a small yet good following. What about you? Are you active on FB? (less)

Book Review – The Way We Are by Yoshay Lama Lindblom

The Way We Are is a collection of stories set in and around Darjeeling. Exploring dark themes like murder, sibling torture, death, and horror, and featuring a gamut of interesting, relatable characters, these stories offer a mirror into the lives of people from Darjeeling and the issues they face.

I have seldom come across a short story collection where almost every story gripped me, and this i

“Sometimes in life, you lose someone- someone you
loved but couldn't get. Then you look up at the stars,
one of which you think is that person, and wish that

What if a miracle occurs, and the person reappears in
your life? What would you do?”

Wow, thanks a ton for this message. It was a pleasant surprise. It's my pleasure. I'm always there to help, and you are so very kind yourself, helping me by suggesting editor friends, choosing my book titles even when you are busy with your manuscript, and what not. Thank you so so much for your encouragement and prayers for my second book. That's the least we can do as first time writers - support each other. All the very best for your book. Hope you catch an agent soon and give me the good news. I'd love to see your book coming out soon. :)
