Jeff Borders, aka Super Jeff, El Jefe, or Cap, loves speaking, teaching, and inducing laughter – preferably all at once! I’m glad you asked. You’ll find stories of family, friendships, redemption, overcoming tragedy, understanding a divine purpose or destiny, and lots of good-natured humor.

His fantasy trilogy, The Diamond War, which consists of Stealing Eternity, The Broken Queen, and The Last Goddess, centers around a young teal-eyed thief named Kyra, who steals a diamond thinking it will be her way out of the slums, but instead, ends up embroiling her in a war that has been raging for centuries. Consider it a cross between a good heist movie, like The Italian Job, mixed with the magical elements of The Lord of the Rings. The follow up novel, A King Reborn, takes place several hundred years after the events of the trilogy, when the war once again rears its ugly head.

Jeff has also published a western-fantasy crossover called The Deathdealer’s Legacy, which follows apprentice bounty hunter Dash Harper. Having to put all the skills he practiced into use, Dash races desperately to find his adoptive father who was mysteriously abducted. This book is an homage to his father and grandfathers, whom he spent many hours watching old westerns with.

Beyond novels, Jeff has written articles and commentary which can be found in publications and websites such as: Spokane Faith and Values, This Week In Mormons, Leading Saints, The Ensign Magazine (now Liahona), The Spokesman-Review, LDS Living, and Ward Radio News.
