Behind the writer's pad - "The Sunshine to my Shadow Lover" - Post 2

When the divine architect Vishwakarma noticed that his daughter loved spending time out even when the sun was scorching, he thought to himself that who better than the divine Aaditya to be the Mitra to his little girl. Eventually the dates were set and all the arrangements were made for the grand marriage. But the prospect of her not able to bear the brunt of the heat that the sun god would let out during the summer stood out as the major apprehension to this divine union.
Little did he realize that the very problem would make his daughter to stay from her husband for a brief period of time. " The Sunshine to my Shadow Lover " 🌞 features a fictional episode based on this very tale from the vedas on how Sanjana got detached from her husband Surya and how Chaya found herself roped into this uncanny situation. I would gladly narrate the entire story in this post. But it's better to read the story and figure it out yourselves. At least it would be more entertaining and yes, I'm taking all the liberties I can afford. Kindly do buy, share, recommend and review the book. Stay tuned for more trivia and updates about the little love story that I spun. Till then, my name is Karthik Sreeram Kannan and I have a story to tell.

Behind the writer's pad - "The Sunshine to my Shadow Lover" -Post 1

Mahakavi Kalidas took a decision to immortalize the story of a victim of fate - Shakuntala in his iconic play "Abhignanashakuntalam" or The Recognition of Shakuntala. A side story in the vast epic ocean called Mahabarata, the story of Shakuntala got lost in between the pages soaked in blood and politics. But thanks to Kalidas's work, I found one of the main inspirations for my new book that got released last week, "The Sunshine to my Shadow Lover". The core plot of the play involved the question of what would happen if your loved one forgot you existed. In many ways, I could say that my lead lady Sanjana is kind of the anti-thesis to Shakuntala as she attempts to fight with everything she has to win back her Surya. Find out more about the story behind the little romantic story that I cooked up in the updates to follow in the next couple of weeks. Please do buy the book from the link below, kindly read, share, recommend and give me a review. Till then, my name is Karthik Sreeram Kannan and I have a story to tell. 😄
