Such can ambiguous question! The answer, of course, is: it depends.

When I am in the mood for a truly romantic couple, who make my heart melt with all of those good feelings that a great romantic couple evokes, I always read some Stepanie Perkins, of whose couples my favorite remains Anna and Etienne, although all 3 couples from her trilogy are wonderful.

When I am in the mood for a wild, but REAL, couple, nobody beats Emily Dickinson's Wuthering Heights. Cathy and Heathcliff on the harsh moors are not necessarily something to look up to, but they are visceral and real. Another great, realistic story about the married Lotto and Mathilde is Lauren Groff's Fate and Furies, which also abounds with good writing.

When I'm in the mood for paranormal romance, can I be selfish and cite myself? In October, I published a short story anthology titled Paranomal Dating, of which I am particularly proud of the story about a haunted house, the porn industry, and the marriage and romance of Nancy Stalker.(less)

Honestly, I never planned to write and publish erotica forever. Writing erotica short stories was a way of getting myself to write more, and I was kind of thinking I might as wel
