I also liked having the story be against the backdrop of the first alien-human contact. Often movies and stories make this a singular response, however with the variety of human backgrounds, beliefs, etc., there would be a varied response. At the same time, there is no reason that the aliens would be completely unified in their opinions about humans. In every group there are good people and bad people.(less)
