Geonn Cannon is a male author who grew up in Oklahoma, thousands of miles from the nearest coastline, who found his calling in stories about women who live on an island in the Pacific Northwest. In 2010, Geonn became the first male author to win the prestigious Golden Crown Literary Society Award for his novel "Gemini." In 2015, he won it again for "Dogs of War." He has written two official tie-in novels for Stargate SG-1, and his Riley Parra novels have been turned into an Emmy-nominated webseries by Tello Films. Couple I've written, or just in general? I'll give both!

My favorite couple I haven't written are Root and Shaw from Person of Interest. Their relationship was so natural and happened so gradually that it felt real, not like something being forced by the plot. They were great with and for each other. They complimented each other so well.

My favorite couple that I've written is very, very tough. I had to think about it for a while, but I think it has to be Ariadne Willow and Dale Frye from Underdogs. I wrote them as friends first, and now they're maybe my most devoted couple. They adore each other, they support each other, and Dale is maybe the most dedicated girlfriend EVER. (less)

I'm glad you enjoy them! You can see Riley Parra at tellofilms.com (it's a subscription site, but available for international viewers). It's a webseries, which means it's six ten-minute episodes that tell a complete story (two hours for both seasons). We've also edited both seasons together to make a movie called Better Angels. You can pre-order a download of that on Indiegogo (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put links here, but you can find more info on my Twitter: GeonnCannon).

As for more books, yes! I'm working on Underdogs 9 (The Fight in the Dog) right now, and I'm planning to end the ongoing series at 10. I've considered a sixth Claire Lance book for a long time, and when the right story comes along, I'll definitely jump at it!

Thank you for the question!(less)

Historical fantasy in a world lousy with supernatural creatures, with a focus on werewolves instead of vampires? Hell yeah. My main complaint is that there were times when the footnotes got a bit heavy-handed, which for the audiobook meant the narrat ...more

I'm no kind of prude, I don't care if there's constant sex and a multitude of descriptions of engorged genitals, if you want your characters to get laid every ten pages, go for it. But I'd like some kind of coherent plot and maybe ONE realistic, rela ...more

“Christine taught her that the world you inherited didn’t have to be the world you left behind. Nothing was pre-determined. Not even No Man’s Land.”
Geonn Cannon, Riley Parra Season One

“Riley said. “Two women being in love, isn’t that an abomination?”
“True love in any form is always encouraged,” Priest said.
She looked at Riley. “You’re in love with her?”
Riley said, “Yeah. Head over heels.”
Priest smiled. “I’m happy to hear it. You deserve some happiness.”
Geonn Cannon, Riley Parra Season One

“She sat up straighter, grabbed at the collar of her robe, and looked up into the mirrored sunglasses of a police officer. Punch him in the dick, the devil on her shoulder said. Go to prison. You and Ari can roleplay as Piper and Alex, it’ll be hot.”
Geonn Cannon, Kennel Club
