Reflection

When you return to me,

I look in your eyes and see the

essence of you.

Regardless of the tortures you’ve seen.

Without words you can

touch me

in a way that

turns me

inside

out.

I am laid bare for you.

In your eyes I see

The real me reflected there.

The me

I want to be.

As the moon reflects the sun

I reflect the good in you.
