February Wrap Up
Hey guys!
I read an amazing number of 6 books this month! I'm super happy with that, because I didn't think I'd get the chance to read as much this year. Here are the books I've read:
1. Heir of Fire #3 Throne of Glass Series - Sarah J Maas
2. Queen of Shadows #4 Throne of Glass Series - Sarah J Maas
3. The Witch Hunter - Virginia Boecker
4. The Fifth Wave - Rick Yancey
5. The Secret Diamond Sisters - Michelle Madow
6. Diamonds in the Rough #2 The Secret Diamond Sisters Trilogy - Michelle Madow
The reason I'm not doing a separate review on all the books this month is because I read a good few books and I honestly don't see a point. I will however, be doing a separate review for The Witch Hunter because that was by far my favourite read so far this year! I might also be doing a separate post for The Fifth Wave, comparing the movie and the book! Let me guys know if you want to see a post on that, I'll get to it :)
So first of all, Heir of Fire and Queen of Shadows!
I have a good bit to say about both of these books. I really enjoyed reading them both, but I must say I found most of Heir of Fire kind of slow. There's a particular part in the book where the story speeds up and gets interesting. We're also introduced to new characters, like Rowan and Sorscha. I feel like what happens at the end of this book, really doesn't come across to me as much as it should. It's not as touching as it should be. I know this might sound vague, but I don't want to make any spoilers for those of you guys that haven't yet read Heir of Fire.
I really wish we could get to know Sorscha more. She becomes an important character, especially throughout the next book, and I find it a little annoying that we don't get to know her well enough. I think it would've been better if she had been a part of Crown of Midnight as well, just so we could get to know more, because it would make it easier to understand Dorian's feelings in Queen of Shadows. For those of you that have already read Heir of Fire and Queen of Shadows, you know what I'm talking about.
As for Rowan, at first I absolutely hated him. I really disliked his character, mostly because of the way he behaved and also because we knew nothing about him! Whereas, by the end of Queen of Shadows, I fell in love with him! There's a very touching scene in Queen of Shadows when Rowan shows up, and that was when I fell in love with him. Celaena's reaction to him is just so powerful, and that was one of the most emotional scenes in the book.
I really enjoyed Queen of Shadows not only because it was well written (obviously, I mean Sarah's writing style is INCREDIBLE) but also because we got a glimpse of Celaena's every day life, along answers to questions that have been getting asked for a long time. There's so much happening in both Heir of Fire and Queen of Shadows, I could barely wrap my head around it.
I give Heir of Fire 4.5/5 stars, and Queen of Shadows 5/5 stars! Needless to say, Sarah did it again!
The Secret Diamond Sisters and Diamonds in the Rough.
Wow.
These books were much more than I expected! This storyline is absolutely incredible.
I really wish these books were more popular. Michelle Madow (@MichelleMadow on Twitter and Instagram) is an amazing author, and The Secret Diamond Sisters is so enjoyable. It was a pleasant surprise when I picked it up and couldn't put it down. In my opinion, the second book was better than the first, but only because there was more happening in it, and we were already familiar with the characters. I must admit it wasn't hard to guess what was going to happen, but there were a few things that took me by surprise in book 2. I love all the characters so much.
I find the three sisters so easy to relate to! Like seriously, if I ended up in Vegas because after 15 years I found out that my father was one of the wealthiest hotel owners, I'd probably have the same reaction as the girls did.
Also, I love Jackson, Nick and even Oliver a little by the end of book 2. The guys in these books are HOT. All the teenage problems are so easy to relate to in this story which is another reason why its so amazing.
I need book three! I NEED IT!!!
So guys, I can definitely recommend you to check out all the book listed above, especially The Witch Hunter which I'll be doing a separate review on, and also The Secret Diamond Sisters because it's BAE!!!
I give The Secret Diamond Sisters 4.5/5 stars, and Diamonds in the Rough #2, 5/5 stars!!!

Life and Death - Stephenie Meyer Book Review
Hey guys, Csenge here!
After weeks, and weeks I finally finished Life and Death!
This book was very different to what I expected. The whole gender swapping seemed interesting at first, but as I read on I realised that it wasn't working too well, For those of you that don't know, Life and Death is basically Twilight with different genders. For example, Bella is now a boy called Beau, and Edward is now a girl called Edythe. The only characters that stayed the same gender were Charlie and Renée , and Stephenie explains why, in the foreword.
The story starts off the same way, by Beau leaving to move to Forks to live with Charlie because his mom remarried and he wants her to be happy, and the story remains the same as Twilight, following pretty much the exact same storyline for the whole book; until the end. I found the book quiet boring and extremely hard to get through up until chapter 13. It started to get a little bit more interesting from then on, and definitely more action packed as well. My greatest problem with the book up to chapter 12, was actually, the genders. Stephenie literally just gender swapped the characters but pretty much left their characteristics the original way. Imagine a girl version of Emmet. That's literally what we got. Emmet is known for his strength and his big body build up and that's what makes him attractive. Now, imagine a girl version of that. It's not so attractive anymore. For around three-quarters of the book, I had to idea which Cullen was who, and that really bothered me. The names, and the genders, everything just confused me.
In my opinion, the greatest mistake in this book was pretty much the relationship between Edythe and Beau. In Twilight it was so attractive and romantic of Edward to keep saving Bella and dropping her to school and being so strong, but in this case it really ruined the book for me. I think that the guy was supposed to be protective of the girl and not the other way around. Well, in this case it was the other way around. Aaaaaand I wasn't okay with it. Edythe kept saving Beau from everything, which obviously was meant to be, because Edythe is the vampire but no. No, no, no. I wasn't cool with it. Beau literally had no manliness in him in this book and that's why it was so bad. It was perfect for Twilight because Bella was a girl, and it was nice to see Edward being so protective and taking care of her, but in this, it was horrible.
So in the end, I came to the conclusion that Stephenie did all she could with the genders-backwards business, because this honestly is the best way this story could've gone if she wanted to stick to mixing up the genders. The story was well written, because Stephenie is a brilliant author who should definitely write more books, but with the correct genders (PLEASE).
So in the end, though didn't enjoy a good half of that book, I loved the ending. I give Life and Death 3/4*

if i stay - Book Review
Hello Everybody!
I read if i stay by the brilliant Gayle Forman not so long ago, and I absolutely loved it.
It's one of those rare books that deserves a 5/5 stars from me.
Blurb:
Life can change in an instant.
A cold February morning . . .
A snowy road . . .
And suddenly all of Mia's choices are gone.
Except one.
As alone as she'll ever be, Mia must make the most difficult choice of all.
===========================================
The book is about a teenage girl called Mia Hall, who's passion is playing the cello. She comes from a musical family, though her parents are more into rock than classical and her boyfriend, Adam is in a band.
The story begins on a snowy morning, when Mia and her family leave to visit her grandparents, but they have an accident.
From then on, the book takes a huge turn, and all of sudden Mia's greatest decision to make isn't about whether or not she should attend Juilliard, but whether or not she should stay?
There are so many things happening in this heartbreaking novel, its practically an emotional journey.
It really does teach you to appreciate your life, and be thankful for every little thing you have, because it takes no more than a few seconds for your whole entire life to change.
This book was very well written, and really gets you attached to all the characters. Everyone from Teddy - Mia's little brother - to her grandparents, to Kim, and Adam. Your heart breaks a little with each new chapter you read. It gives you an understanding of music, whether you play an instrument or not.
We see how much Mia loves her music, and how much she adores Adam. This book is about the love of family, and how important it is to cherish every little moment you spend with the ones that are important to you.
I absolutely loved the attention given to the guitar and the cello. I love books based around music, and this is one of them. Its mentioned in many places throughout the book, that music is what ties Adam and Mia together, and to me that's such a beautiful thing. They're both very talented musicians, and they can express they're love for each other through their music. The author does a brilliant job at portraying the beauty of young love. The story is powerful, because we can feel what Mia feels for Adam. And she knows that if she chose to leave, which would definitely be the easier option after everything she's lost, she'd leave Adam behind, and that's something she's not able to do.
So above all, its an amazing novel, which got turned into a brilliant movie which everyone needs to see! The sequel to if i stay, is where she went, and if there's a book better than if i stay, then its the sequel. I've read the second book right after the first one, and LOVED IT. So guys, make sure to check both books out, because you sure don't want to miss out.
Brilliantly written, heartbreaking, and definitely makes the tears flow.A must read. 5/5*

Blood Bites by Csenge Forro
For those of you guys that don't know, I wrote a fantasy novel called Blood Bites!
I decided to do a post on it, and basically summarise the story as best I can for you all, and introduce you to the main characters! :)
This is the text which appears at the back of the cover:
Liana Decker, a sixteen year old teenager girl was born different to everyone else - and she knows that. Vampires and witches are two of the few things Lia learns about while she falls in love with a vampire, who though showed up to help her, but might have been lying to her all along? Maybe the enemy holds all the answers? How far will she have to travel to unravel the secrets of her family and herself? And what about the special powers?
The story is set in the small, wet fishing town of Hoquaim, Washington. Lia is a very smart, young girl who was born to be a 'growing vampire', or so that's what her family and herself think. (A growing vampire is basically a child who was born while the mother was still human but the dad was a vampire.)However, Lia's family has a book called the 'Book of Immortality', which states that a growing vampire develops very fast; after only 2-3 years of its birth, it reaches full maturity, looks like a grown up and turns into a full grown vampire, and of course stops ageing. That, on the other hand is not the case with Lia. She's been alive for sixteen years and she's quiet normal except for a few small things. In the story we get introduced to a vampire family, who seem to be hiding many things. They're also the head of the VPA (Vampire Protection Association) which is an organisation set up to protect all supernatural creatures from harm. Lia falls in love for the time, with the charming Robert Walter who brought his family to Hoquaim, for one reason only; to protect Lia and help her transform. It is his job after all, to protect all supernatural creatures, being a missionary at the VPA. Everything is great, until Rob's murderous aunt Jane shows up. Lia starts asking questions as things get more and more messed up, and she doesn't understand anything. She depends on her family to save her true love from harm, and discovers her very own super power.
The story introduces us to a number of different characters, all who have their own story. Background
I started writing this novel when I was only twelve, (I'm fifteen now) and was inspired by a number of different things. Blood Bites is one of the most important things to me.As for the story, there are a number of questions in Blood Bites which aren't answered in this book, as I'm planning on making a sequel. I'd love to write the second Blood Bites book soon. I feel its important to get answers to the questions that are asked in the in this book.
I hope you guys like the way my book sounds and that you'll pick up your copy on Amazon! :)

Side Characters Who Deserve More
Hey guys, Csenge here!
This blog entry is dedicated to those side characters who I feel should have a bigger role in a book, or a story should have been written from their perspective.
The first character whom I feel should have his own story written is Ronald Weasley from Harry Potter.
I feel that Ron is such a cool character, who has plenty to say about life, and would definitely deserve his own story, or at least it would be amazing to read a few chapters of Harry Potter from his point of view. I'd love to be able to read a short story dedicated to the Weasley's, all from Ron's point of view. I'd love to read the Harry - Ginny relationship from Ron's perspective since he's the big brother, (Well, at least one of them...) and not only that, but he's also Harry's best friend.
I also believe that Ron should be given a chance to express himself, being the famous Harry Potter's best friend. Harry is always in the centre of attention, and I just feel bad for Ron. He deserves more.
The second character whom I feel should get a chance is Nehemia from Crown of Midnight.
I am aware of what happens in Crown of Midnight, and I don't want to make any spoilers for those of you that haven't yet read it.
I absolutely love Nehemia's character! I feel she's a very strong fighter, and she just wants the best for Ellywe. I really do wish however, that we got to see what Nehemia was up to in Crown of Midnight. When the book ends, there are so many questions left unanswered, (I know that there are more books in the series, but I haven't yet read the last two) and I'd really love to have read a few short chapters on Nehemia's mysterious every day life.
I feel like Nehemia's character deserves much more than just a few pages in a book. I really look up to her, and I wish there was a Throne of Glass prequel written about Nehemia, and not just Celaena.
The third character I wish wish wish had her own little book is Isabelle Lightwood from the The Mortal Instruments series!
Gosh, I absolutely love and adore Izzy, and I'd love to just read more of her every day life! Izzy is definitely one of my favourite fictional characters, and literally I would do anything to meet her in real life. She's fun, powerful but underneath the hard mask, there's a caring soul and I absolutely love her for that.
The simple reason as to why I wish Izzy had her own little story written, is because she's just one of those cool characters who you'd want to learn more about! She's the kind of person you'd love to hang out with, ask her for make-up tips and fashion advice, but at the same time she's be there for you no matter what happens, not to mention that she'd protect you with her life. Izzy's such a cool character and I'd love it if there was a little bit more written about how amazing she is.

Izzy's such a cool character and I'd love it if there was a little bit more written about how amazing she is.

Crown of Midnight, Sarah J. Maas Book Review
Hey guys, Csenge here!
I decided to do my first ever blog post, and write a review of my most recent read, Crown of Midnight by the amazing Sarah J. Maas!
"Before she was deadly. Now she is unstoppable."
Crown of Midnight is definitely my favourite book in the Throne of Glass series so far!
It was action filled, had romantic scenes, and finally we learn a little more about Celaena.
After Celaena becomes the king's champion in book one, (Throne of Glass) she ends whatever little romance she had with Dorian, the Crown Prince of Adarlan, and keeps her eyes on Captain of the Guard, Chaol Westfall.
I loved that in this book, we finally got to see Celaena's romantic side, even though we also get introduced to her true killing side. We get to see that Celaena was considered Adarlan's Assassin for a reason. This girl is strong, and quiet brutal when it comes to killing to protect the ones she loves. However, no matter how strong and dangerous she really is, she doesn't lose her love for books, and continues to read day and night, and neither can she do the killing that the King hired her for.
Celaena is unable to kill innocent people, especially if the person who killed her parents tells her to do so.
In this book we see how Celaena reacts to losing a loved one, and I find that very empowering, She doesn't lose hope entirely, and finds a way to get up, and keep going no matter how hard it may be.
She learns to cope with dark secrets, and would do anything to protect the ones she loves.
I found this book very exciting and loved the plot twists. The book was easy going, and nothing was rushed. All the characters lived their everyday lives, while they all had their own secrets.
If you liked Throne of Glass, you're gonna love Crown of Midnight!
I give it 4/5 stars!
