JE is a fan of science fiction and science mysteries. She wrote stories when she was in high school but set aside her hobby for college and career, until she attended a writer's conference in San Francisco in 2010. The experience unsealed a door in her mind that she thought had long closed.

Unusual Light - my young adult fantasy

I'm excited to publish a young adult fantasy novella that tackles friendship and second chances, peppered with glimpses into the life of a Filipino-American family.

A young engineer, a ghost, and mystery at the morgue was inspired by the first hardcover book I received as a tween--Nancy Drew's Mystery of the 99 Steps, and stories of my best friend's teenager's antics navigating adult life.
