Looking for Advanced Readers!
I need your help. I cannot stress how important Advanced Readers are! Not only do they determine if a book launch will succeed or fail, but they also give important feedback that can change the way other readers experience the book. If you are interested in signing up to read and review this book, please click here. I will only send you emails that have to do with where to download your free ARC copy, asking for your opinions, and a short reminder when it’s time to post reviews.
I want to warn you that this book does contain themes that are inappropriate for readers under the age of 16 though I handled them as carefully and prayerfully as possible.
Here is the synopsis--------
Two girls.
A village with a dark secret.
Their only hope is a mythical figure Ever Morena has only read about in her father’s lone book.
Ten years ago Ever’s best friend disappeared without a trace. Though the loss of her friend only came close to killing her then, the truth of what happened might finish the job now—just when her future as the village healer is looking bright.
Ever must risk everything she loves in order to plunge into darkness on an impossible journey in the middle of the Concealed Forest.
Never before has redemption been so costly.

Flummoxed Launch & Camp NaNoWriMo
If you want to see how the Flummoxed release went, you can check out my blog... I'm thankful for all the support and help that you lovely readers contributed. Now I'm officially working hard on editing Kerfuffle, my Camp NaNoWriMo project. This book was difficult to write, and I find that editing it has me a bit depressed, but I feel like the message of this book is worth all the sad moments.
One of the interesting things that happened with this book is that a group of characters stole my heart and won me over by surprise. When I wrote Chance's character I realized, uh oh, he's awesome... but then I wrote his family... sigh. Now I want to give them their own book! Maybe they'll get a novella, but the truth is, they probably won't. I already have two more books and one novella scheduled for this series, and that should be the end. So far we have a novella about Holly and the difficulties of being a pastor's wife (Miss Sadie will definitely make an appearance!), a book about Anna Cruz's first year in college, and then the conclusion of the series, following Olive to visit her Yia Yia's village in Greece! Well, off to pick up my girls from school. Have a great day!

Flummoxed is Coming & More
Flummoxed officially comes out on March 28th, and while I am SO excited for that, I also just finished the first draft of Kerfuffle (the third book in the Desires & Decisions series). Yay for lots of good news. If you want a copy for Flummoxed to review for the launch (if you want to review it, no obligation), then please send me a message. Happy reading everyone!

Crash!
Today has been intersting... I woke to the sound of my sewing machine crashing to the floor. I'll give you a hint, the incident involved on the of the big kids riding the little kids bike in the house (not allowed). My hubby bent a few things and drilled a new whole in the metal plate so I could finish sewing his Han Solo shirt for the Make A Wish party next week. It looks a little rough, but it will do until I can get a new machine and fix the stitches. I can't sew until I get a new machine, so if I'm a little cranky, you'll know it's because I didn't get my sewing fix. Now I'm headed to Normandie to hang out with Olive. My goal for today is 2,500 words.

Back to Work
I was really blessed to get to go on vacation with my mom (she's here visiting!) so I took a week and a half off writing. But the last two days I've gotten back into Normandie, where lots of things are happening. The last few scenes were rough to write and I'm still praying about whether they are age appropriate.
We'll see what happens, but let me ask you, how you do feel about the mention of alcohol in a book you're reading? For context: two characters have decided to do a "dry" wedding and rehearsal (no alcohol), and one of their family members isn't very happy about it.

Flummoxed Half Way There
I have officially met my Camp NaNoWriMo goal of 32,000 words. I am planning on finishing Flummoxed next month in chunks. My mom is coming to visit us from CA, so we'll be beach bumming it most days and taking a few overnight trips. But I don't want to take the whole month off because I don't want to forget everything I've been working toward with Flummoxed.
Today I went through the remaining chapters and wrote notes about what needs to happen where, so that should help me to get through the chunks of writing a bit faster. I have at least 32,000 words left (if I'm being realistic it will probably end up being 40,000... so much for Flummoxed being significantly shorter than Newfangled).
I'll keep you posted through the rest of the summer :)

Olive and Her Red Hair
"For quicker changing room trips, she selected a crimson shirtdress that made her auburn hair look more Annie (the 1982 version) and less Anne with an ‘e.’ "
I couldn't resist ;)

Aunt Barb
Day #15 of Camp NaNoWriMo
"What you are going through is normal, Barb. All new couples struggle with this stuff. Don’t get discouraged, ok?”
“What do you think, kiddo?” Barb asked Olive.
“Me? I don’t know. What she said. I get all my life advice from her and Dad. Go talk to Reed. Who cares about how to wash pans. You love him, don’t you?”
“From the mouth of babes,” Barb answered.
“Jesus keepin’ it real,” Sophia said, chuckling.

Olive and Dean
I just wrote an Olive and Dean scene... and I'm not telling you anything about it :)
My goal for today is to finish chapter 5 and start chapter 6, where the first plot point happens.
