it's all about perspective. August 21
So good and bad scenarios play out in our life all the time. It's a battle to keep your mind to focus on the positive. But I challenge you to do JUST that!
There was one time years ago, I was traveling from visiting my family and driving a steep mountain in January. Of course, the roads were covered in snow. Now, this trip back to my apartment was a 7 hour trip and I was single at the time, so i just wanted to get home and beyond this stress and mess on the road-ways. Suddenly, I find myself in a 2-hour traffic jam with the cars going super slow….until I finally got up to the cause of the blockage. Two tractor trailers had collided into each other. I prayed for the people involved in that wreck, suddenly gracious that I was going slow with the snowfall!
Perpective.
I have heard this same story of perspective from countless people. People who have lost their jobs only to have some unbelievable new opportunity come up just a short time later.
A boyfriend or girlfriend breaks up with you only for you to realize you deserve better and sure enough…you find the ONE right after.
You've been longing for a closed door to open for so long that you are so appreciative of the one that does open.
Perspective.
I just want to challenge you today to keep your spiritual eye sight open. Things are never as bad as they first appear. There is something wonderful happening right around the corner. And time will reveal what doesn't make sense right now.
Let us remember, when God is in control, we don't have to be. Sit back and enjoy the ride!
