UNITY

In the study of Civics and our culture the most important word to understand is UNITY.  Unity is in our very name, The United States of America.  It’s so familiar we have lost its meaning.  I cannot condone our generation’s ignorance of history.  It is vitally important we place a priority on the study of it so that we can avoid the mistakes of the past.  The lies of today are believed because of ignorance of our history.  That history teaches us that there is power in unity.  There is protection in unity.  Benjamin Franklin said it well, “We must all hang together or we will hang separately.”  An ancient war strategy is to “Divide and conquer.”  In other words destroy their unity.
I recently took a 100 question history test and answered all but one correctly.  I was advised that my 99% correct was the highest score received and called me a genius.
I’m no genius, just an 90 year old man who knows his history and can see the lies being told to our young by the “progressive educators”.  These so-called educators are responsible for dividing our beloved country.  If we are to demonstrate our discontent, let it be against the liars.  A large part of their treachery is forbidding the mention of God in the classroom.  Listen to the words of George Washington, the ‘Father of our country’, “It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.”  He also said, “Our Constitution is a miracle, surely it was written by the finger of God.
Our future as a nation depends on truth.  The Holy Bible has stood the test of more than 2000 years as the very definition of truth for all eternity.
Books by Colonel Don Wilson
Eight years ago I published a book that turned out to be prophetic, but there is still work to do.  Jesus got his message across by parables.  In an era without mass media people loved to hear stories and Jesus was the master story teller; sugar that made the medicine go down.  That is the approach I took to entertain as well as teach.  I have written and published three novels, and one nonfiction.
“Colonel Don Wilson, now 90, observes a nation whose character has changed much over his lifetime, a nation divided in spite of warnings in the Bible, quoted by Abraham Lincoln that a nation divided cannot stand.  Moral values have eroded over the years in an environment of ignorance of the true nature of God.  A career soldier, he led an adventurous and hazardous life, exposing himself to situations most would never encounter.  That experience taught lessons from which we can all learn and defines his point of view.”
THE ANTIBIOTIC AN AILING AMERICA NEEDS is a fast-paced, clear and concise exposure of a declining America with solution to restore her greatness.  Full of inspiring quotes from the giants of our history as a nation, this book explores our Godly heritage, truth withheld from this generation by a liberal education system that requires only one generation to destroy our beloved country. The story of our nation is best told through her people—good and bad, famous and infamous, law abiding citizen and criminal.
CODE NAME: WILLIAM TELL is an adventure story that starts with an idea by the president of the United States from which a hero emerges.  A story of good’s triumph over evil as told by a famous historian who himself is a retired army Lieutenant Colonel.  The story traces the life of our hero from boyhood to manhood and then to a leader of men fighting a secret cold war.  Our villain is known to the free world’s intelligence community only by his code name KRAIT, a deadly viper.
One day, near the end of a lack-luster first term, a president in the solitude of the Oval Office found time to think of some way to make amends for his failures.  He gave his imagination free rein.  Soon an idea began to grow into a solution to a serious problem: a solution which would become the closest-held secret since the atomic bomb.  From this secret would come a remarkable man, code named WILLIAM TELL.
CODE NAME: SPIRIT is a sequel to CODE NAME: WILLIAM TELL, completing the fast-paced action adventure story of an amazing man working in the shadows of secret service to our country.  It is written in the hope that our beloved country will return and remain true to the vision of our Founding Fathers and live out our noble motto IN GOD WE TRUST, thereby receiving the blessing of Almighty God.  As an undercurrent in this story there is also a blueprint for the moral, spiritual and economic recovery of our ailing nation.  For security purposes the code name WILLIAM TELL is changed to SPIRIT.
Anti-subversion and anti-terrorism are ongoing concerns to Americans.  This story of high adventure in the shadowy realm of secret service to our nation produces a phantom figure and becomes an obsession to a well known historian seeking to penetrate the veil of secrecy.  Acceding to the inevitable and seeing his kind of angle in the story, he dropped everything to focus solely on this mysterious man.  An astonishing tale unfolds as a small but top secret organization becomes the answer to the frustrations in dealing with threats requiring immediate action.
In days of old, rather than going to war, a Knight was selected from each side to decide the issue by mortal combat: and “Let God defend the right!”  These stories are as close to that method of deciding issues as we can get in this modern and trouble ridden world.
These books have been rewritten from and different approach to attract a different audience, but the message is the same.  Look for the title, THEIR SECRET LIVES, the story of a couple who fall in love.  Each has a secret they can’t share with each other.  The story asks the question, how will these secrets affect their love for each other?

There Was A Time When You Never Were, But There Will Never Be A Time When You Won’t Be

I, Colonel Don Wilson, am a believer in The Lord Jesus Christ and I love The Lord, despite the fact that I’m human and I fail Him daily. I believe that The Lord Jesus Christ is the son of God, He was crucified on the cross where He died for my sins, BUT He rose on the 3rd day to give me salvation. He loves me dearly, and forgives my sins. His Word (The Holy Bible) says, if I deny Him before men He will deny me before His Father in Heaven.
This is the best challenge I’ve ever seen on Facebook. So if you love Him and you feel like it’s time to let the world know where you stand, just copy and replace my name with yours and make this your status update.
Can I get an Amen for being a Christian and a follower of The Lord Jesus Christ?  I’m truly Blessed, and may you be blessed as well!
My novels reflect all of the above and are available on AMAZON and BARNES AND NOBLE, or go to Google Images and click on their images

As a People, We Help Satan

Satan’s Convention
Satan called a worldwide convention. In his opening address to his evil angels, he said, “We can’t keep the Christians from going to church.”
“We can’t keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth.”
“We can’t even keep them from conservative values.”
“But we can do something else. We can keep them from forming an intimate, abiding experience in Christ. If they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken.  So let them go to church, let them have their conservative lifestyles, but steal their time, so they can’t gain that experience in Jesus Christ. This is what I want you to do, angels. Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!”
“How shall we do this?” shouted his angels.
“Keep them busy in the nonessentials of life and invent unnumbered shams to occupy their minds,” he answered.  “Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, then, borrow, borrow, borrow.  Convince the wives to go to work and the husbands to work six or seven days a week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their lifestyles.  Keep them from spending time with their children. As their family fragments, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work. Over stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still small voice.
“Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive, to keep the TV, the VCR, and their CD’s going constantly in their homes. And see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays music constantly. This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ.”
“Fill their coffee tables with magazines and newspapers. Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day. Invade any other moments with order catalogs, every kind of newsletter and promotional offering, free products, services, and false hopes.”
“Even in their recreation, let them be excessive. Have them return from their recreation exhausted, disquieted and unprepared for the coming week. Don’t let them go out in nature. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, and concerts instead.”
“And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences and unsettled emotion.”
“Let them be involved in soul-winning.  But crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Christ.  Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family unity for the good of the cause.”
It was quite a convention in the end. And the evil angels went eagerly to their assignments, causing Christians everywhere to get busy, busy, busy, and rush here and there.
Has the devil been successful at his scheme?
You be the judge!  Read The Antibiotic Ailing America Needs,  available at Amazon and Barns and Noble, and a chapter a day from the New Testament.

The Enemy is Us

A sidewalk reporter stopped a man and asked him this question:  “What do you think is wrong with America?”  Without giving it much thought, the man replied. “I don’t know and I don’t care!”  The reporter said, “Congratulations; you got them both right.”  The word is   Apathy.
Do you remember the cycle that all failed nations went through?  Let me remind you of my previous article that spelled it out.
From Bondage to Spiritual Faith                  From Spiritual Faith to Great Courage From Great Courage to Liberty                   From Liberty to Abundance                           From Abundance to Selfishness                From Selfishness to Complacency            From Complacency to Apathy                       From Apathy Back to Bondage
Apathy; see how close we are to ruin?  You’d better care and join the effort to take back our beloved country from the “Club”   — career politicians.  Push for Term Limits in order to have a true representative government, of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Why a Nation Dies

A BRILLIANT OBITUARY

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.
No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
– Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
– Why the early bird gets the worm;
– Life isn’t always fair;
– And maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death,
-by his parents, Truth and Trust,
-by his wife, Discretion,
-by his daughter, Responsibility,
-and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 5 stepchildren;
– I Know My Rights
– I Want It Now
– Someone Else Is To Blame
– I’m A Victim
– Pay me for Doing Nothing
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Divine Event

The Meeting
And so it was a day like any other for some, but not for me.  I was walking my two and a half pound miniature pincher and she was walking her tiny miniature poodle mix.  They met nose to nose and became instant friends. Dogs have a sense of knowing if another dog is friendly, even from a distance.  So it was their owners became friends; she was an abandoned and then divorced lady and he was a lonely widower.  Their meeting was entirely unexpected.  It took only ten minutes to discover they were like-minded and warm hearted people; long enough to exchange phone numbers and email addresses.
The wonderful thing about their meeting was while waiting for the veterinarian’s office to open she decided to walk her dog in my gated apartment complex.  The gate is open during the day.  Tragically, four days after our meeting her little 20 year old poodle-mix died of congestive heart failure having done what God had arranged for her to do.
Because of the corona-virus our relationship became at arm’s length communicating only by phone and Gmail.  Nevertheless, and because of distance between us our exchange if information became open and frank.  No subject became off-limits. It wasn’t long before both confessed our love for each other.  Our months of daily emails seemed to read each other’s mind.  This love out of sight of one another grew stronger and became the centerpiece of our lives.  Both had prayed for a Godly person as a life’s companion and now it has come.  Surely this meeting was divinely arranged.
I am 6’3” and she is 5’8” and no one seeing us together would believe that she is 71 and I am 90.  She was born the year I graduated from high school.

Good Sense

A couple of quotes for you.
“May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right.”  Peter Marshall, former Congressional Chaplain
“The world suffers a lot.  Not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of good people.”  –Unknown

God’s Wrath?

The reliability of Bible Prophesy has been tested by all Bible scholars and found to be 100% accurate.  Therefore, we can be highly confident that Prophesies mentioned as yet to come will happen.  One of them is happening as we speak, and more are to come.  Our worldwide plague (I use the word plague because the Bible does) is upon us; the corona virus pandemic.  The modern Babylon’s description in the book of Revelation fits America perfectly and our country will be destroyed.
True Christians will escape the terrible tribulation that follows because Jesus will return to take them home to heaven (the Rapture).  He promised he’d be back so he will.
Americans, listening to false prophets, have brought this calamity upon themselves by not listening to the dire warnings of the clergy.  Our civilization was built on the solid rock if God’s Word, but arrogant man thought he had a better idea.  Tragically, the clergy is partly to blame, preaching “feel good” sermons and not telling the unpopular whole truth.  Did you ever dream the price of our error would be this high?  Pray, it’s never too late.
