Phillip Drown is the author of two novels - the second of which, The Shame of John Slade, was an instant hit with booksellers. He is also a prolific writer of short stories, mostly focussed on the comic and the absurd. As well as writing fiction for adults and children, he has also worked as an editor and a bookseller. He has lived in the south-east and the south-west of the UK.
