師大英語系畢業，哥倫比亞大學人類學碩士，西雅圖華盛頓大學人類學博士候選人。
曾做過歌手，國中老師，大學助教，兼職翻譯。
2006年毅然決然放下博士論文，進入美國麻州劍橋廚藝學校研習烹飪。
畢業後隨夫赴港，在大飯店裡從廚房學徒做起，工作之餘經營部落格「廚房裡的人類學家」，分享烹飪心得和專業廚房內的所見所聞。
