Though indie books have gained a lot of traction over the years, I'm sad to see that there aren't more award events (like the one Goodreads is currently doing) that focus on the huge indie book market, and just the indie books. I've just gotten the idea, but I'm going to flesh it out, and I hope to launch one next year, even if it's just on my own website. I'd love to put more focus on books that might be overlooked because the author is unknown or the publishing company is small. More to come about this as I develop it.
