Karen Colibri was born in Spain. After studying Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Malaga, she found out that there was a wealth of different civilizations under her feet and each told a different story. She spent the next 15 years writing them down, teaching English and exploring the hidden corners of Andalusia.

After spending the last 9 of these years in a tiny coastal village that nobody has ever heard of where a donkey or an ox is more commonly seen than a car, she has come back to her Yorkshire roots and lives there happily with her three children writing and planning her next visit.
