Tracy Tonkinson was born and raised in England and now lives in Ontario, Canada. She is a novelist, fiction writer and avid reader of historical mysteries, thrillers and adventure novels. Her aim as a writer is to make her readers laugh a little, cry a little and feel breathless with excitement as they race to the end of each adventure.

Tracy's books are a mix of history, humour, action, adventure and mystery.

Tracy's work has been published in magazines and newspapers on both sides of the Atlantic.

Tracy lives with her husband, son, two cats and a host of imaginary characters in the village of Orono.

I have had books that launch themselves really quickly and then seem to beach themselves just as quickly and I worry that I will never write another word, but it is usually the case that where a book isn't working I either have the wrong point of view or the style is inconsistent with the story that needs to be told. If I go and work on something else for a while the block gradually melts away as I back process the solution to the problem. Just to keep writing something else can often fix writer's block.(less)
