I am a book signing virgin no longer. First book signing today at Waterstone Barnes and Noble. The staff was fantastic, the people were wonderful. Amy, the Barnes and Noble magician, was fabulous. My day was made by the mother who came in with her three children, the oldest being a girl about 6. Her mother wanted her to meet a writer. So, we chatted. Her books aren't mine, and vice versa yet, we were bound together by books. I was humbled and realized the responsibility of a writer. Spoke as well at the downtown public library. The staff, Chris Smith in particular, was fabulous. He gave me water and chocolates. I love the man! We had a good time. Talked about the girls who were victimized. First time in over 100 years that there names have been mentioned. Actually sold a book or two. Somehow, that doesn't seem to be important.
