Helen E. Barrow is an author of romance novels from a different perspective. She was born in Northumberland, in the North of England. Between her parents’ inventive games and tall tales, and her world travels in her twenties; her imagination received all the nurturing and nourishment it needed for a lifetime of writing.
She attended the University of Northumbria, where she earned a degree in Business and Administration. This achievement filled her with both pride and the absolute certainty that she had no wish to pursue a career in B&A.
Helen suffers from dystonia, a painful (read as excruciating) condition in which the muscles in her upper body spasm with little or no warning. She can count on one finger the number of non-specialists she has

Hi Stacy,

I wish I knew! I would like to say around late February/early March or thereabouts, but it isn't an easy length of time to guess at. By way of an example, today I spent approx. eight hours writing twelve lines. I normally write a great deal more, but the time it takes to write something depends upon so many variables, such as the amount of research it requires, the complexity of the subject and whether my family can look after themselves in my absence.
In short... by March, I hope, but that date could slide and will do so until I feel it worthy of your time to read.
In the meantime, I uploaded a draft of the first scene in my next book today, on my blog www.helenebarrow.com .
Thank you, Stacy, for my first question on GoodReads :) I hope you are well.

“Have you ever heard of Wabi-sabi?" "Nope ," Angela admitted. Nicola sat up a little to better see Angela's face. "It's a Japanese point of view. The Sabi bit refers to something's beauty that comes from its imperfections, or damage it's suffered through its life." Nicola bent her head and gave the side of Angela's face a soft kiss, then pulled back up, enough for their eyes to meet. "Nothing is perfect if you look close enough, and nothing is forever. Despite what people think they want, we all in fact find things that appear perfect to be rather disturbing." She pointed to a chicken pox scar above her own right eye. "We seek out, and find comfort in wear and tear, flaws of any sort. Contrary to what our society believes, it's the imperfections which draw us to something and they can make us love it even more.”
Helen E. Barrow, Northern Heights

“Making for a summery, aesthetic contrast to all around her; Angela was moving against the current of commuters, the majority of whom were clad in muted attire. In her warm red, front-split, ruffled halter-neck cocktail dress that came to her knees, she was turning more than a few heads. Descending the wet concrete steps of the metro entrance with a grace that surprised Nicola, she reminded her of a cherry blossom falling.”
