Maren Caulfield has had a passion for writing since she was a little girl growing up in Western New York. It led her to Cornell University, where she earned a degree in Communication in 2008, and stayed with her as she embarked on her career as a fundraiser in Massachusetts. She was inspired to write her first novel, Benjamin Ringer and the Lost Sock, after the birth of her first child, who produced an unbelievable amount of soiled laundry. When she's not writing novels, she works as a reporter for her local newspaper, acts in community theater productions, and enjoys spending time with her husband Matthew and their two young children. ...more

"Outlier review here. This book is written at a Grade 8 level by an author who usually writes YA books. Its sentence structure is overly simplistic, and it repeats descriptions and comments regularly. For example, I stopped counting the number of time" Read more of this review »

"Again, I make no secret that I’m a diehard member of the Bills Mafia, so when I found there was a book based on the Bills’ (now former) cheerleaders, the Jills, I was all over it.

Sadly, it didn’t meet my expectations. In fact, it felt like it was tr" Read more of this review »

"I’ll be honest…the only reason I read this debut novel is because it takes place in Buffalo, NY, where I was born and raised. Had this not been the case, I would have DNF’d it really early on.
