أديبة عراقية آشورية من مواليد 1967م ، في محافظة الأنبار ، نشأت في بغداد حيث درست الأدب الفرنسي في الجامعة المستنصرية. حاليا تعيش في الولايات المتحدة في مدينة شيكاغو. تنشر ليلى العديد من مقالاتها في أكثر من دورية عربية، و«الطيور العمياء» هي روايتها الثانية بعد «سهدوثا» التي صدرت عام 2011
