I'm an ACoA (Adult Child of an Alcoholic), writer-author, photographer, single mom and survivor.
I began writing poetry when I was 11. Lines just came to me and I felt this need to write them down - big magic! This eventually led me into writing my memoir.

Evolving to Grace is about my life's experiences-finding my way out of darkness, from living with alcoholism and abuse in the home, suffering many years with depression even suicidal at times, to being raped at 16 years old-later discovering hope, positivity, strength, happiness and the right path for the life I choose to live, for myself and my son. And lastly, I write to share my experiences with others with the hope that no one, despite whatever situation they may be going through, will I'm an ACoA (Adult Child of an Alcoholic), writer-author, photographer, single mom and survivor.

I've come a long way. It is all about finding hope, optimism and perspective on things. Though my memoir ends on a sad note, my life is actually pretty good, now - I'm happy and content. In my my 9-5, I work in Accounting and hope that one day I will do photography and write on a full-time basis, leaving behind the corporate world returning back to my more creative side.
Life is not dark anymore. There have been good times throughout my life, yes some tragic things happened to me, but life is better and I look forward to what lies in my future. The endless possibilities - places to see and re-see, new things to experience, people to meet, loves to have and definitely more books to write. Next time, possibly fiction.

here are some random facts about me....
I like to blast my music while driving.
I love road trips, especially ones up or down the coast.
I smile at strangers. (Sometimes you won't know who needs it!)
My vice is Coke – the soda!
I’m a sucker for a great smile.
My favorite type of music is 80’s music - new wave, alternative, a little bit of punk.
I have seen Titanic, Sixteen Candles and Terminator countless times.
I used to daydream about becoming a singer, but can’t sing a note, completely off key.
I thought by the age of 19 that I’d be living in London – never been there though.
I love spending hours at the beach, not doing anything, but admiring the relaxation and beauty of it all.
I have traveled to Mexico by myself and would do it again, if I had to.
