María Elena Morán nasceu em Maracaibo, Venezuela, em 1985. Escritora e roteirista, é formada em Comunicação Social na Universidad del Zulia e em Roteiro na EICTV, Cuba. Fez mestrado e Doutorado em Escrita Criativa na PUCRS. Tem poemas e contos publicados em revistas e antologias. Os Continentes de Dentro é sua estreia como romancista.
