It’s an odd book, but I liked it. I am positive that I missed the nuances of temporary work assignments. I am sure there were many a-ha moments that I missed. But the story is universal. A bit slow, but that didn’t bother me at all.

This was my bicycling book last summer. I would listen to a few chapters while riding. I liked it, but think I would like the movie more. It’s has a great plot.

Read all the books. Saw all the movies. Reread the first book over the Christmas holidays and, for me, it holds up. Not everything has to be highfalutin to be fun.

I saw the anime first, so all of the mystery to the story is gone. That being said, the art is amazing. Is it slow and meandering? Yes, but only if you are expecting a three part conflict driven story. It’s more like Ghibli film with no true antagonist ...more

It’s a great book that doesn’t follow a three act structure that ends on a definitive resolution. Very little text but the manga has lots of moody art that creates a sense of place. I loved it.

Amazing. I listened to The Devotion Of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino and read by David Pittu. The first couple of chapters were slow but needed. As the story went on it got better and better. So very, very good. 👍
