Writing for Mahoning Matters
Excited to say I'm writing a weekly column for Mahoning Matters entitled The Earnheardts. It focuses on our family of six (9 if you count the four legged members). Check it out at www.mhaoningmatters.com.
Here's a blurb from a recent post:
I've been a college professor in one form or another since I was 24 years old. I'll never forget the first day I stood in front of a classroom. After preparing for weeks, I still felt deeply insecure about what I should do and how I should do it. Nevertheless, I...

On The Agent Hunt
With a second book complete, I'm on the hunt for an agent. I'm being relatively selective about who I query. So far so good. I feel like I'm querying the right people. I went the small publisher route for Switch-A-Wish, and I'd be open to doing that again. But for now, I'm comfortable testing the agent waters, if for no other reason than it's a new experience. If you see my posts on Twitter during #pitmad, that's just my attempt at trying to get someone's attention.Wish me luck!

Switch-A-Wish Available as eBook
Bad news: my publisher, Three Worlds Press, is closing for business.Good news: Switch-A-Wish is still available for purchase on Amazon. You can find the Kindle version by clicking here. If you want the paperback version, you'll find a few new and used copies from third party sellers. As always, if you're a book reviewer, I'd be happy to send you a copy. Just leave me a message with your name and address.
More good things to come in 2017.

Thanks to Erin, a.k.a Just a Girl Kindleing, for a great review of Switch-A-Wish:"Switch -a- Wish examines the complexity of a stressed relationship through the eyes of partners who are required to live as each other. Thanks Lit Youngstown and Karen Schubert
Special thanks to Lit Youngstown and Karen Schubert for having me read a bit from Switch-A-Wish at Suzie's Dogs and Drafts in Youngstown, OH. Had a wonderful time meeting the Lit Youngstown crew and hearing some amazing work from some talented Youngstown people. Side note: my man, Adam Earnheardt, volunteered as emcee for the open mic portion of the event. As usual, he was 100% ham.

Columbus Arts Festival "Word Is Art" Program
Had an amazing time at the Columbus Arts Festival a few weeks ago, participating in the "Word Is Art" Program on the Ohio Magazine stage. Thanks to Gretchen Hirsch, Chair of the "Word is Art" Stage, and the Greater Columbus Arts Council for inviting me to participate. I had a wonderful time reading a passage from Switch-A-Wish, and talking to some new readers. And a huge thanks to the GCAC for the wonderful surprise I received in the mail a few days ago.

Much Love to Chick Lit Central
Chick Lit Central is amazing. If you have time, check them out at chicklitcentral.com. And congrats to the winners in the Switch-A-Wish giveaway. Here's a piece of their interview with me about Switch-A-Wish and... wait for it... fashion:
What is the oldest piece of clothing you own?
I own a brown leather, bomber style jacket that I bought while I was in high school. It wasn’t that expensive and it’s a dated look now, but these types of jackets were a trend because of the success of Top Gun, an...

Another Great B&N Review for Switch-A-Wish
Thanks "jmcgowen" for this great review of Switch-A-Wish on Barnes & Noble:
"Wow! Talk about a reality check. This book almost seemed like it was written for my husband and I....well, if we were to switch bodies for a day. There was so much in this book that we both could relate to that it actually made me laugh and cringe at the same time." Read more at Barnes & Noble.
Get Switch-A-Wish on Barnes & Noble (in print or for Nook), Amazon (print and Kindle), and other great book retailers.
