A.C. Efverman is a Swedish bestselling crime fiction author. Her first novel was published in Sweden year 2002. The novels in her latest series 'Kommissarie Morgan Callaghan/Sydney-serien' have listed #1 bestseller on Amazon many times.
Efverman was born and raised in Stockholm and she travelled the world alone on and off for six years before she moved permanently to Australia. During her travels she saw and experienced many things and in one horrific moment she had a gun pointed at her head by a serial rapist.
She writes from her experience of being a victim of crime - and over twenty years of research on real life murderers, police investigation techniques and forensic science. Her novels contain the same main characters and the stories a

When I then sit down to actually write, I spend time thinking about what I need in the story in order for my readers to get to know my characters, and how I will build suspense - and then the story kind of grows organically from there (with lots of stops where I insert time for research of facts).(less)

“It's not worth doing if you're not going to do it perfectly.”

“To grow up is to wonder about things; to be grown up is to slowly forget the things you wondered about as a child.”
Henning Mankell, When the Snow Fell

“In most crime novels the violent act, usually the murder, is the engine. Take that away and there is little left to drive the story along. So I do get a little cross with authors who aren’t precise about the violence they’re using to create tension because I feel they’re being dishonest with their readers. If people don’t like the blood and violence in my books, fine, they can always close the cover and put it aside and maybe read a romance instead. – Mo Hayder”
Mo Hayder

“Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.”
Anais Nin

“A childhood without books – that would be no childhood. That would be like being shut out from the enchanted place where you can go and find the rarest kind of joy.”
Astrid Lindgren
