“The way you start writing is by writing. Over and over again I have proven this to myself but I always forget it the next time. I always believe that I will never write again. The first time I finished a book a painter was visiting me. Her name is Ginny Stanford and her wonderful paintings have been the covers for nine of my books.
'I'll never write again,' I told her ... 'That's it ... It's over. It was great while it lasted, but now it's done.'
That afternoon she made me a wonderful drawing of a ship sinking in the waves of the sea. 'I'll never write again,' it said on the bottom of the picture. 'September, 1981.”

Thank for your friendship. We just adopted a cat this past fall as I am a big cat lover. In the past we have always adopted two from the same liter but since this was a rescue we only got one. I am paying the price. Like you said, they do rule the house. I am wondering if I should adopt another cat as Charlie seriously needs someone to play with him 24-7, my ankles and legs can't handle much more ;) Can't wait to read your novel!
Agree there are a lot of characters to keep track of but one of my all time favorites. Edmond Dantès #bookcrush
Hi Liz, thanks for the request and for your lovely message. 'The Count of Monte Christo' will probably end up being one of my favorites, too. Hope to talk to you some more.
Hi Liz!Thanks for the add! I hope you enjoy "try not to breathe" when it comes out. It was definitely a great read. :). Looking forward to chatting books with you.

Thanks for your friend request, Liz. I can't wait to chat books with you. All the best from Barcelona! :)
Jan - did you grab the book off NetGalley? We had some formatting issues (paragraphs didn't indent) that are being fixed, so if you have any trouble reading it, just let me know. NetGalley should be fixed by early next week. Thanks.
Thanks for the invite Liz-I just grabbed you book last week based on a friends review. Congrats on your debut book and can't wait to read it. I've read the book you are currently reading is great as well!
