I reread some texts on a yearly basis -- these include Leibniz's The Monadology, Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus and Jacques Derrida's Aporias. This year, I also intend to reread all of Jane Austen's novels. To make sure they register on the ticker, if I have already marked them as "Read" on GR, I'll either mark another copy, or change the date read.

It's a numbers thing. I like numbers.

2016 was an abysmal year for reading -- I only read 42 books! Egads!

2012 was worse though, at only 31 books.

I am aiming for 100 this year but I can only do it if I don't put too much pressure on myself on all fronts so I'm leaving my ticker at 5 books.

As for "My Year of Reading", I wish I could use it but it's not really accurate because I've been rereading a lot of stuff lately.

So that's that.
