And the winner is... All the Broken Places! :)
WOW! :) I’m thrilled to announce that All the Broken Places won First Place in “Paranormal Romance/ Suspense/ Thriller/ Comedy/ Western – Series” from the Paranormal Romance Guild! Much gratitude to PRG for the nomination; what an honor to be included among such talented writers. And many, MANY thanks to all those who spread the word, and *especially* to all of you who voted! I can’t tell you how much your support means to me. Thank you, everyone!

Recognition, Gratitude, and Giving Back.
This weekend, I was floored and so honored to learn that the second book in The Healing Edge Series, All the Wounds in Shadow, is a finalist in the 2017 IAN Book of the Year Awards for Paranormal/Supernatural Fiction! This is the third recognition the series has received, and the first for this book in particular.
I was so happy to see All the Wounds in Shadow celebrated, since the questions it explores are such passionate ones for me: is there love after death, and how can we love heroically? There is a special place in my heart for this book, and it was wonderful to learn that the judges felt the same way.
I also want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my readers. Thanks to you, I was able recently to make good on my promise to donate a portion of the proceeds from the first years’ sales of All the Broken Places (The Healing Edge, Book One) to two wonderful organizations, the National Alliance for Mental Illness (nami.org) and The United Way (unitedway.org). My first book deals in part with issues of mental illness and people who are vulnerable and in need of help. These two organizations are ports in the storm for so many. Thank you, readers, for making these donations possible, and thank you, NAMI and The United Way, for the important work you do every day.
