Michael Tyler ireceived his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in 1998. He has hiked, climbed peaks, and traveled around the world. Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail was his first long distance thru hike, and Walking Thru is his first full-length book. Michael currently lives with his wife, Margo, in northern California.
