The synopsis can be found on my Facebook page, but it's something I've been working on for the past three and a half to four years. Needless to say, I feel a bond with the characters, and I hope that anyone who reads it will feel the same! Readers will have to let me know after its release on January 2nd of 2016!(less)

Threshold

Hello, all! I just thought I would give an update on my newest writing project. This past semester, I was fortunate enough to take a Fiction Writing Course offered by my college. In it, I was able to work on a couple of short stories and get some pretty great feedback on them. One of them is currently available on Wattpad, entitled "Imagine." The other, "Threshold," was recently put out on Amazon Read more of this blog post »

“If by fawning, you mean he’s a deer, I have a gun, and it’s hunting season, then I guess you’re right.”

“We all deserve to be more than prisoners of someone else’s plot.”
Sage Kafsky, By Fire and Flood

“Nationalism is not to be confused with patriotism. Both words are normally used in so vague a way that any definition is liable to be challenged, but one must draw a distinction between them, since two different and even opposing ideas are involved. By ‘patriotism’ I mean devotion to a particular place and a particular way of life, which one believes to be the best in the world but has no wish to force on other people. Patriotism is of its nature defensive, both militarily and culturally. Nationalism, on the other hand, is inseparable from the desire for power. The abiding purpose of every nationalist is to secure more power and more prestige, not for himself but for the nation or other unit in which he has chosen to sink his own individuality.”
George Orwell

“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
