Finding joy in mourning during All Soul's Month
As I sat at the food court table of Boston’s Logan Airport Terminal A last Saturday, I struggled to keep myself from being a weeping mess. It was 5AM in the morning, and I had just received an email from a noted Spanish author who agreed to endorse my book. He offered kind words of consolation for the loss of my brother, bringing me to tears. This was not what I expected before my early morning flight. After a couple of minutes I took a deep breath and composed myself, trying to recollect my

#RememberingCory
Monday marks the one-year anniversary of Cory's death. In his memory I am asking all who knew him to participate in a Twitter campaign. Starting on Monday, please post a picture, memory, link, song, video or phrase that reminds you of Cory under the #RememberingCory. If you don't have Twitter, you could sign up once and just post for this or if you really

Bare feet white dreams, Eulogy to my younger brother Cory
Cory, I see you as if it were yesterday—eating cafe con churros in the cozy salon de peregrinos in the Hostal de los Reyes Catolicos in Santiago de Compostela. We were among the first ten pilgrims to show up at breakfast time. The five star hotel was legally required to serve us food provided we show up with our Compostellas at the back door, which we did—the Cajun way. There we were, in this cozy room, seated around the table, overlooking the Plaza de Obradoiro just adjacent to the[image error]
