The last couple of years have been so busy, but the good news is, I'm retiring in late October and will be writing full time!

Let's talk about my last two books.

Out of Nowhere, book four of my Balls and Brawn Security series, featuring Dex and Seo-jun's story. I loved writing about these two. They love each other so much, and they've been through a lot.

Friend Ship, book four of my Boys' Love series. This series was born out of my love of Asian boys' love dramas and features different actors for every book except the first two, which had a continuing story. I am so pleased with my illustrator, who puts a real manga feel into the covers. She's preparing a few illustrations that will be featured in a special edition paperback of book four. All of my boys' love books can only be purchased on my website. Thank you for supporting me in this manner! Readers who know absolutely nothing about boys' love series may have a tough time with these. I totally recommend watching some first! If you'd like recommendations, subscribe to my newsletter where I feature one bi-weekly, along with mm book reader recs, new release news, and books by other mm authors. The book features Sud and Mee Noi, best friends from boyhood and uni students in Bangkok. Sud wants to pursue acting and asks introverted Mee Noi to help him with a project, which leads to feelings they'd previously never explored.

I've been giving some thought to expanding this series to feature boys' love-esque stories that aren't about actors. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this as I'm still unsure.

I'm currently writing a book about second-chance love as well as a paranormal novel.

For those of you who have asked about book three of my SOS series, it's never been far from my mind. Retirement will give me the opportunity to properly end this series. I'm sorry about the long wait.

Hi, there. Sorry I'm not here more often. Thought I'd drop in and tell you what I'm working. Recently I published All Bets are Off--book 2 in my Balls and Brawn Security series. It is a companion to the prequel of the series, Wanna Bet.
I'm currently working on two projects--one is a Christmas novel, and another is the third book in the SOS series. Yes, I know it is taking me forever to finish that.
Before these, I published 2 books in my new BL series, which is about BL actors in Thailand falling in love. The first book is still free--and will be until the end of the year--in the Prolific Works' Your Book Boyfriend's Boyfriend. (See my website for more details--www.rebeccajamesmmromance.com).

I fell in a pot hole (figuratively speaking) over Christmas when I got Covid-19. It set me back quite a lot, but I want you to know I am doing my best to catch up. I'm currently trying to finish book one of my new security guard series, which come out of the short story I put out in a recent Prolific Works giveaway. If you'd like to read that story, you can do it here.

I had a hopeful end of February release date, but I'm not sure I'll be able to make that. It's looking like March now.

After this, I plan to complete another book I started and left hanging, then finish the SOS trilogy.

I've had several people lately ask when I will be writing book 2 of my omegaverse series (The Alpha's Forbidden Omega was book 1) or book 2 of The Wolves of Daos 5. The answer is---I don't know! I have major revisions to do with the omegaverse book 2, tentatively called The Alpha's Unexpected Omega, and I do hope to get to that soon. But as for Daos 5--well, I don't think I'll ever get to that unless I see there's a big interest. Unfortunately, authors often have to go with what sells, so if you really like a book (by any author) and hope the series will be expanded, the best thing you can do is to talk up the book in readers groups and get it seen.

I have, however, finally finished my shifter series--Cascade City and Angel Hills. Hurray! And book 8 (final book) of the Hedonist series will be out next month. Currently, I'm working on expanding the Luca/Michael short story (friends to lovers) I wrote for a September Prolific Works giveaway. I LOVE Luca and Michael and hope you will, too. This book will be a little more humorous than I usually write.

The last thing I want to talk about is beta reading. If you enjoy reading and contributing to novels before they're put out and would like to beta read for me, please drop me an email. I need someone who enjoys my books and writing style but who isn't afraid to speak up about aspects they don't think work in a book.

Hi, all. I thought I'd check in and let you know what's happening. Book 7 is with my editor and will be out sometime in March--the date depends on the availability of my cover artist,, who is booked and squeezing me in. She has promised March, though. I recently reached out to my readers group for a name for Flynn's Crystal shop, and that will be revealed when the book goes live.. I depend on you guys for naming! Other readers have come up with monikers for characters and places, including a club member (Trace), the dance club (The Yellow Banana), and the exclusive gay men's club (Lux). For opportunities like this as well as to put your vote in on other decisions I make such as topics for extra scenes on Prolific Works, and for sneak peeks, cover reveals, and blurbs, join my Facebook group (button on front page of this website).

While book 7 (still nameless due to the HUGE difficulty of naming books in this series as it expands--I swear, the next series is going to have SIMPLE titles--I am already working on book 8! Yes, you heard that right: Book 8 is well into the works. It is Adam's book and the last in the series. Stay tuned in my readers' group for hints about what the new series will be. Hint: It will be a spin-off from this one.

In other series news, I really do plan to finish revisions on book 2 in my SOS series. I'm sorry to those who have been looking forward to it and have reached out to me wondering when it will come. Also, my wolf pack books should all be back up by the end of the year.

I'm a little late with New Year's plans, but better late than never, right? I've changed website providers because the other one was too much work and I wasn't pleased with the outcome. Please bear with me while I get this one up and running.

This year I have several things I want to get accomplished, and I figure listing them here will motivate me to get them done. One will be completing my Hedonist series with the seventh and eighth books. I'm working hard on book 7 now, which is Flynn and Matteo's story and about second chances. Another will be putting book one, The Ballerino and the Biker, onto audio. This, too, is already underway with the talented Christopher Rain narrating. As this is my first foray into audio with my books, I'll have to see how it goes before I commit to putting the rest of the series out on audio.

As the Hedonist series wraps up, I'll be starting a new series spin-off. A few ideas for this are the following: a series surrounding Rainbow House, the LGBTQ shelter; Lux, the exclusive gay club in Manhattan; Henry, the small town where Dante and Isaac live; or another motorcycle club mentioned in the series. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Another project I plan to complete is getting the Angel Hills and Cascade City series back up and hopefully completing them both. I also hope to put out book 2 of my omegaverse SOS series, The Alpha and his Unexpected Omega, which is currently in revision.

Unfortunately, I will have to skip GRL again this year, but I hope to interact with many of my readers here as well as on my private Facebook Group. Thanks to all of you who read and review my books. You are much appreciated!
