Jill was reared in the historic Pontchartrain Park subdivision of New Orleans, LA where she grew up singing and playing her flute in the church choir.

She always had a passion for writing and an even greater penchant for the workings of the human mind. She received her bachelors degree in Sociology and worked as an academic researcher for over twenty years. With humility and God's grace, she has taken what she's learned over the years as a student of life and created a uniquely fun and exciting way to explore psychological realities - through a murder mystery series.

I began to write about a smart, imperfect, attractive lady psychiatrist from New Orleans named Morgan Jane Winters. The creation of Morgan is in part a representation of my laden desires to be a therapist, to help those in emotional/mental distress, to entertain, and to educate. So, as I began to write this one story, I realized that I didn't have to put everything in one book. I could tell many stories, solve lots of problems and crimes with a series. There's the feeling of complete satisfaction one gets from hones…moreKind of hard to just list one...

The first would be seeing your creation come to life.
There's the feeling of complete satisfaction one gets from honest expression.
There's the almost indescribable feeling of joy from putting beautiful words together.
Then there's the joy I receive from witnessing others enjoy my work. (less)

What I know now...

I learned at a very early age to stuff the uncomfortable realities of life. You know, heartache, heartbreak, disappointment, aka, pain. I grew up in an environment rich with artistic expression. My dad was an intense jazz musician. So, my three siblings and I learned to play musical instruments at a very early age. I played the flute. I still play, when I can.
