Breaking Rules to Tell the Truth in "Railway"!

The Story Behind My Lyric Choices in “Railway”
Sometimes, the most powerful art isn’t born from perfection - it’s born from intention. When I wrote “Railway,” I wanted to create a song that captured the impact of heartbreak without falling into clichés or violent imagery. That’s why in the lyric, instead of saying “gunshot into my soul,” I wrote:
“Shotgun into my soul.”
For me, “shotgun” isn’t a literal weapon here. It’s a metaphor for the sudden blast of emotion - the shockwave that hits your heart when love or trust shatters. It’s the force of heartbreak, not the violence of a gun. In a world where gun imagery is everywhere, I wanted to turn that idea on its head and create something poetic, something that suggests impact without glorifying harm.
Another lyric that people have noticed is:
“Lies and blames…”
Some have asked, why not “lies and blame”? For me, “blames” (even if it’s not conventional grammar) feels truer to the experience. When we’re hurt, we don’t feel just one blame - we feel accusations stacking up from all sides. That’s what I wanted to capture: not perfect grammar, but perfect emotion.
My lyrics are always a balance of music, language, and feeling. Sometimes that means breaking the “rules” to tell a story more honestly. “Shotgun into my soul” and “lies and blames” aren’t accidents. They’re deliberate choices to create a different kind of impact.
Music isn’t about perfection - it’s about connection. And if Railway hits you like a shotgun into the soul, then I know I’ve done my job.

🚂💩 Der Deutschen Bahn – A First-Class Ride to the Toilet Crisis

As if our journey to Germany wasn’t already emotionally challenging enough, fate decided to spice things up with a few unpleasant surprises on theway there and back.
To make sure no other national or international traveler suffers the sameway, I feel morally obligated to share this post as a public serviceannouncement to anyone boarding der Deutschen Bahn in 2025. You’vebeen warned!
Let’s start with the facts:Germany, this world-renowned pioneer of engineering, efficiency, andpunctuality - the land of precision and perfection - is, quite frankly, goingdown the toilet. And I mean that literally.Congratulations to der Deutschen Bahn for turning “first class” intoa “first mess.”
Our trip began promisingly: from Zurich Main Station to Frankfurt, everything went smoothly. Clean, calm, civilized. The moment we switched to theRegionalzug to Siegen, however, reality hit us harder than a delayed ICEannouncement.
Even though we had first class tickets, the “first class” sectionwas basically a tiny, airless cabin with four sad little rows. The smellalone deserved its own ticket category - “Eau de Deutsche Bahn.”
But let’s get to the real problem:🚫 No working toilets.None.Every single one was “Out of order.”At first, we thought it was bad luck. Then we realized - this was policy.Let’s be honest: it seems Deutsche Bahn has found a new savingsstrategy. Why clean and maintain toilets when you can just lock them and slapan “Außer Betrieb” sign on the door? Brilliant. Environmentallyfriendly, too - fewer flushes, more suffering.
We were shocked - especially watching mothers with crying babies trapped ona long, stinky train with no toilet and no plan B. The irony was unbearable. This is the same country that invented the word “Ordnung.”
After this unforgettable journey, we made an easy decision: never again. No matter how beautiful German cities are, no scenery can make up for beingheld hostage on a two-hour train with no functioning toilet.
The price of the ticket said “first class.”The experience screamed “third world.”It’s corruption disguised as mismanagement - and a shameful, unkindtreatment of all generations at once.
So here’s my heartfelt travel tip for 2025:🚽 If you must take der Deutschen Bahn, pack wisely. Bring snacks, no drinks, patience, and, most importantly, a baby potty. Not just for your baby. For yourself! And even diapers and pads. Not just for your baby. For yourself!
Because on today’s German rails, you never know when “out of order” might applyto your bladder, too.
The Myth of German Pünktlichkeit
Oh, and by the way - forget everything you’ve ever heard about German Pünktlichkeit (punctuality). That myth belongs in a museum, right next to fairy tales and functioning train toilets.
On our way back to Zurich, we missed our train - not because we were late, but because der Deutsche Bahn decided to make mysterious, spontaneous STOPS whenever and wherever it pleased. No explanation. No apology. Just pure, chaotic improvisation.
With an hour’s delay, we missed our connection and ended up stranded in freezing-cold Frankfurt Bahnhof, surrounded by what felt like hundreds of security guards - ironic, considering there’s no real sense of security in Germany anymore.
At this point, you can set your watch not by Deutsche Bahn, but against it.
Because missing your Anschlusszug (connecting train) isn’t a risk anymore - it’s a guarantee! 100%!
Bravo, Deutsche Bahn! The only thing that still runs on time is the frustration and your unkind and unfriendly staff.

Train Track - Licensing!

Train Track - Lily Amis feat. Francis Eluozo - A song about leaving and finally choosing yourself.
Sometimes, the tracks we walk on in life split in two, and the hardest - yet most freeing - thing we can do is take the one that leads away. Train Track is a soul-stirring pop ballad that uses the image of diverging railways to tell a story of heartbreak, self-discovery, and emotional liberation. With Francis Eluozos raw, heartfelt vocals and my evocative storytelling, the song captures that bittersweet moment when you step away from a toxic past and move toward your own worth.
It's a track for anyone who has ever stood on a platform, suitcase in hand - whether in reality or in the quiet corners of the heart, and known it was time to go.
Exclusively available as BONUS track on Bandcamp (and, as always, not on any mainstream streaming platforms)

Train Track - The Lyrics and the true story behind the song!

The Story Behind Train Track
In January, my mum and I set off on a journey to Germany, carrying the hope of a family reunion that had been 37 years in the making. We boarded that train full of expectations, not knowing what kind of destination truly awaited us.
But not all journeys end the way our hearts dream. Instead of the warm embrace my mum and I had longed for, we were met with cold shoulders and rejection.
It was painful - deeply painful. Yet I’ve learned that sometimes heartbreak plants the seed for something unexpected. Out of that moment of loss, Train Track was born.
While I was sitting with those raw emotions in Zurich, thousands of kilometres away in Nigeria, Francis Eluozo was following his own creative path - a producer and vocalist with a gift for soulful, emotional music. I didn’t know it yet, but our paths were about to cross.
I sent Francis the lyrics I had written, almost like throwing a message in a bottle across oceans. To my surprise, he caught it. Within weeks, he transformed my words into music, and when I heard Train Track for the first time, it felt like heartbreak had shifted into something bigger than itself - into a song that could hold both pain and hope at once.
That track became more than just a song; it became the spark for a whole new creative direction. I started to see train stations, railways, and tracks as powerful metaphors for life’s journey - departures and arrivals, hope and heartbreak, the unknown destinations we all face. It felt so natural to keep writing songs within this theme.
For me, these songs are not only personal stories but also perfect companions for film and television - music that can carry emotional moments on screen and help tell stories that move people.
Train Track was the first of many, and it taught me this: even when the journey doesn’t take you where you hoped, it can still lead you to a place you were meant to create from.
The album LightSearch reminded me why I love creating: music has the power to turn rejection into release, and distance into connection. From Zurich to Nigeria, across cultures and continents, creativity found a way to unite us. We hope you enjoy Train Track!

SONG LYRICS TRAIN TRACKLily Amis feat. Francis Eluozo
I took the train with one goal in mind
Was ready to let go, leave everything behind
Covered my wounds to heal my mind
Forget my loveless past
Forgive your selfish acts
My motivation was love and togetherness
After too many painful decades
Your motivation was nothing but revenge
What a fool I was to believe you’ve changed!
Train Track, Train Track
Double-track railways won’t let us unite
We never shared the same single-track
Our destination was always on different tracks
The reality, the reality, The railway, The railway of life
Came all the way by train with destination love
The rail speed reminded me of the transience of life
The decades went by without you playing a part in my life
But you know what, it was your loss, not mine
I’ve put up with your cruelty, tolerated insults
Endured your cold shoulder for way too long
Didn’t realize not having you around was a blessing
And now I return back home with an open eye
My heart is shattered but hey I will survive
Train Track, Train Track
Double-track railways won’t let us unite
We never shared the same single-track
Our destination was always on different tracks
The reality, the reality, The railway, The railway of life
I know I did everything possible
I was ready to forget and forgive for my spiritual growth
After what you’ve done and shown in recent days
I’m grateful I took a different way
I realize now our train had left the station years ago, years ago
I was on the right track all my life, MY railway of life
Without your love and your support by my side!
You know what, I will survive….

Train Track - Lily Amis feat. Francis Eluozo

There’s a certain magic in collaboration - when two creative worlds meet on the same track and ride together. With 🚂Train Track, I had the joy of joining forces with Francis Eluozo, an artist whose music production doesn’t just tell stories, it breathes them. His lyrics carry both the weight of lived moments and the lightness of fleeting joys, making his voice an anchor and a compass in this song.
Francis says it best: “Every song has a story. Some come from real-life experiences, while others are drawn from emotions, people, or even fleeting moments that leave a lasting impression. As a singer-songwriter, I’ve always believed that lyrics are the soul of a song-they capture the essence of a feeling and turn it into something you can hear, sing, and even relive.”
When I asked Francis about his process, he pulled me straight into the heart of it. He shared how some of his most powerful lyrics were born from lived moments-the highs, the lows, and those pauses in between when life demands you really feel.
One song came from a conversation that felt like a final goodbye. Sitting alone, replaying every word, every silence… that weight turned into lyrics. And those lyrics became a song that resonated deeply with others who had felt the same sting.
But it’s not just about heartbreak. Francis lights up when he talks about joy-the spontaneous road trips, the nights you never forget, or the comfort of being with someone who makes life feel lighter. “Music has a way of freezing time,” he says, “capturing a memory in a way words alone can’t.”
And then, there are the borrowed stories (like Train Track)-the ones he steps into from the outside. Friends, strangers, characters imagined on the fly. He once wrote a song inspired by a couple who kept finding their way back to each other, no matter what life threw at them. That resilience, that heartbeat, is what shaped the song.
Francis also pulls sparks from books, movies, and even overheard conversations. To him, songwriting is pure storytelling-and the best stories don’t always belong to the writer.
That’s the magic Francis brings to my very personal song Train Track with his vocals and production.
Train Track is one of the tracks on the album LIGHTSEARCH.

Lily Amis Music - Light Search Album OUT NOW!

Deep Heartbreak, betrayal, mental abuse, painful disappointment in so-called family and blood-related relatives, lies and blame are the source of inspiration for my very personal album LightSearch.
Every single track is written from the heart and dedicated to those who have let us down and abused us emotionally over decades, leaving us behind with open scars.
I think many people will relate to the honest lyrics, and it is a lesson and inspiration not to allow ANYONE to ruin your life because of people's selfish, ignorant projection on others, just because they are not willing to take responsibility for their own actions and accept their own stupid mistakes.
Track Highlights
1. Not Ok! – Vulnerability and the courage to admit the truth: it’s okay to not be okay.
2. Invisible Luggage – The unseen burdens we all carry, and the strength to keep going.
3. My Hometown – A bittersweet love letter to memory and belonging.
4. Train Track – Reunions, departures, and fleeting connections at life’s crossroads.
5. Railway – Betrayal, family wounds, and the painful search for peace.
6. Always – Gratitude, love, and unbreakable bonds that keep us alive.
7. Highlight – A defiant anthem: design your highlight, own your spotlight.
LightSearch is my musical journey through shadows into light. Every track reflects the search for hope in dark times - resilience, faith, and the human need for meaning. These songs are lanterns for anyone who has felt lost, abandoned, or silenced. They carry grief, but also healing; questions, but also answers; despair, but also light. As a special bonus, the album closes with Train Track (feat. Francis Eluozo) - a collaboration that mirrors life’s journey, full of arrivals, departures, and unexpected turns.LightSearch is not just music. It’s a reminder that even in chaos, we can still find clarity. Even in storms, we can still find light.Beyond its personal storytelling, LightSearch also carries strong sync potential. Its songs explore themes of survival (Not Ok), conflict (Railway), nostalgia (My Hometown), hidden burdens (Invisible Luggage), love and gratitude (Always), and empowerment (Highlight). Each track combines lyrical universality with cinematic depth, making them adaptable for film, television, and advertising.Available exclusively on LilyAmis.Bandcamp.comSeptember 23, 2025

Lily Amis Music - Album Cocktails of Society OUT NOW!

Cocktails of Society is my satirical toast to the world we’re living in. It’s a colorful mix of truth, irony, and social critique - shaken, not stirred. Across five bold tracks (Cocktail, Social Disease, Celebrate, House of Ghosts, Modern World), you’ll taste a bittersweet blend of humor, outrage, and reflection.
Every song is its own cocktail of emotions -fiery, bitter, sweet, and refreshing - designed to make you laugh, think, and feel all at once.
Available exclusively on LilyAmis.Bandcamp.com
And depending on where the world and our society go… more tracks may join the menu.

Cocktail
“Cocktails of Society” is a protest-pop/rapalbum - satirical, bold, and unafraid to call out corruption, injustice, andmodern chaos. Each track is a raw reflection of our times.
When leaders mix lieslike cocktails, it’s the people who drink the poison. My satirical anthemagainst political games.

Social Disease
Noise, screens, blah blah blah… phones turned love into a social disease. A protest against disconnection in a hyper-connected world. Inspired by countless bus and tram rides, surrounded by people acting like selfish A…- and all you wish is to just switch them off and breathe in peace.

Celebrate
“Cocktails of Society” mixes bitter truth with bold beats. It’s satire set to rhythm, protest dressed in pop, and every track dares to say what people are too afraid to admit.
Respect is the beat, kindness the melody - let’s celebrate what truly matters: love, unity, and compassion.

House of Ghosts
House of Ghosts is survival on record: surrounded by shadows, yet stillalive, still burning, still fighting. It’s resilience wrapped in melody, areclaiming of control.
Inspired by my own cold-hearted, useless and selfish neighbors-people whobelieve it’s normal to show up uninvited or self-invited several times in 18years but NEVER open their own door. Who think ignoring everyone is alifestyle, and sabotaging your laundry day is just casual entertainment. Even a simple, friendly, polite“hello” is treated like you’re asking them for a fortune. They ghost youwhenever they can, just to avoid any human contact.
This song is for the ghosts who walk among us, breathing but soulless, dedicated to my cold-hearted neighbors who make me sick to my stomach, each oneof them!

Modern World
Not made for comfort, notmade for escape. “Cocktails of Society” is protest-pop- fearless, sarcastic, and relentless in exposing the corruption and chaos that everyone else wants topretend isn’t there.
Yesterday’s values, today’s choices. What will the modern world decide? A soul track with atimeless question.

From “Wonderful World” to “PISS2PEACE”: Enough is Enough!

Inspired by the beautiful classic What a Wonderful World, performed by the legendary Louis Armstrong, I wrote my Rap song PISS2PEACE.
Why the word PISS? Because I’m literally pissed off at world events - one war after another. War zones have become “normal,” and looking back at history, it feels like humanity has learned nothing. Eighty years ago, with leaders like Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin, the misery was devastating. But today, the news footage feels like a cheap independent film compared to the documentaries of World War II, which are like billion-dollar Hollywood productions. The scale looks different, but the misery, injustice, and human cost? Still the same bullshit.
Millions are suffering, and today’s world leaders seem incapable - or unwilling - to end this cycle of inhumanity.
Of course, I know What a Wonderful World was written in 1967 by George David Weiss and Bob Thiele, during the Vietnam War, as a beacon of hope for millions of victims who had lost fathers, sons, and husbands - and for the “half-caste” children who were uprooted from their Vietnamese mothers and sent away to foreign lands. Louis Armstrong’s soulful jazz performance gave the song timeless power. To this day, it is remembered as a message of hope.
But let’s be real: we can’t sugarcoat the awful, painful reality anymore. Every day I scroll through Instagram and see deep messages wrapped in comedy and satire. But is this really the solution? Will funny reels ever stop wars? How long will we keep fooling ourselves, scrolling past the suffering, pretending it doesn’t exist?
Isn’t it time to demand real change?
Isn’t it time to say Enough is enough?
Enough of the senseless bloodshed.
Enough of the millions displaced.
Enough of the silence.
That’s the message behind my new track PISS2PEACE, featured on my album TOOFAN, exclusively available on LilyAmis.Bandcamp.com.
And to honor Louis Armstrong, I’ll also share the lyrics of What a Wonderful World - because while the dream of peace may feel far away, it’s still worth fighting for.
WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD LYRICS:
[Verse 1]
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
[Verse 2]
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed days, the dark sacred nights
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
[Bridge]
The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands, saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying, "I love you"
[Verse 3]
I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
[Outro]
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Oh, yeah
