Kate Earnshaw came to law in her mid twenties, having decided to enter the workplace for a few years after her A levels to gain some perspective on life (and being undecided as to which degree course to study). Once in law, she became one of the most senior lawyers in a blue chip company. During her working life from the 1980's to the present day, she has seen and often suffered various attitudes to working women, some from her own family and many deeply unsettling. She decided to work part time shortly after the birth of her son and took a step back from employment when her son was around five years old to spend more time with her family. How much of us is real?

I was reading a book last week called "Dare to Connect". I bought it at a second hand book shop and it is a bit dog eared. It told me, amongst other things, that real friends are those with whom we are comfortable to be ourselves.
